Abstract: A system for performing information exchange by using a Smart Grid (SG) is provided. The system includes a first device and a second device having SG service types; and an SG Control Point (CP) for transmitting an SG capability request message to the first device and the second device, receiving SG capability response messages from the first device and the second device, matching function sets of the same type to one another if the function sets of the same type are included in the received SG capability response messages from the first device and the second device, and connecting the first device and the second device to one another for the information exchange.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for remote control, and a remote control method using a control user interface of a remote user interface (UI) client according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes receiving, by the remote UI client, a message requesting a service from a remote device; transmitting a message requesting a control UI related to the requested service to a remote UI server when the remote UI client receives the message requesting the service from the remote device; receiving, by the remote UI client, a control UI corresponding to the message requesting the control UI from the remote UI server; and transmitting, by the remote UI client, the received control UI to the remote device. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a user may easily control a corresponding remote user interface through a control user interface specified for a screen on which the remote user interface is being reproduced.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling a Remote User Interface Client (RUIC), on which a remote user interface is displayed, through another RUIC. A message including control information that indicates a control action corresponding to a user input at the other RUIC is received at the RUIC from the other RUIC. The RUIC determines whether the control information is predefined information or undefined information. When the control information is predefined information, the control information is delivered from a web server of the RUIC to an application of the RUIC, and a control operation corresponding to the control information is executed by the application. When the control information is undefined information, the received control information is delivered from the web server to the application through a remote control plug-in in the RUIC to execute the control operation corresponding to the control information by the application.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for providing a remote User Interface (UI) to a terminal in a remote UI system. The method includes downloading, by the first terminal, an application from a remote server; driving the application; requesting a new application from the remote server; receiving the new application from the remote server; driving the new application; requesting a second terminal to a change the control UI according to the new application; receiving a message requesting a new control UI for controlling the new application from the second terminal; and providing the new control UI for controlling the new application to the second terminal in response to the message.

Abstract: A method and device for providing a message in a remote User Interface (UI) system are provided. The method includes, if a notification message to be sent to a second device connected to a first device is generated in a remote server or the first device communicating with the remote server, the first device generates access information to the notification message, includes the access information in a notification message event indicating occurrence of the notification message, and sends the notification message event to a plurality of second devices in a multicast transmission. A method, in which a gateway provides a content service using multiple devices, includes sending a service request to a service provider, receiving required list information from the service provider receiving the service request, the required list information indicating a list of devices required for a requested service, acquiring performance information of accessible devices on the basis of the required list information, receiving content with a service level corresponding to the acquired performance information from the service provider, and distributing the received content to the accessible devices to be used for the content service.

The ND receives the reconfigured CUI from the SP and transmits the reconfigured CUI to the RC. The RC receives the reconfigured CUI from the ND and controls the ND with the reconfigured CUI.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for remote control in a short-range network system, and a system supporting the same are provided, in which from a remote device that remotely controls the application execution device using a predetermined Control User Interface (CUI), information about capability of the remote device is collected, a CUI request requesting a CUI to be used for remotely controlling a currently executed application and the information about the capability of the remote device are sent to an application server, a CUI matching the capability of the remote device is received from the application server in response to the CUI request, and the received CUI is sent to the remote device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a Remote User Interface (RUI) by a Remote User Interface Client (RUIC) device in a home network, in which it is checked whether control information received from the third RUIC device capable of controlling an RUI realized in the RUIC device was generated by a Control User Interface (CUI) included in an allowed CUI list, and a CUI of the third RUIC device is updated if the received control information was not generated by a CUI included in the allowed CUI list.
