Abstract: Methods for producing dendrons of different generations with hydrophobic functional end-groups, and for producing polyurethanes with the side-chain dendrons are disclosed step-by-step. The dendron with hydrophobic functional end-groups in the polyurethane systems, and the honeycomb-like structure thin films are obtained by a breath-figure process. The structures of dendrons and dendritic side-chain polyurethanes are respectively expressed in the following and the end-groups (R) of the dendron are long alkyl chains or perfluoroalkyl derivatives.

Abstract: A heat dissipation module for an optical projection system includes a flow channel, a fan and an air filter. The flow channel is disposed in the optical projection system and has an air intake and an air vent. The fan is disposed in the flow channel to induce an air flow and has an air inlet and an air outlet. The air flow enters the flow channel via the air intake, passes through the air inlet and the air outlet in succession and leaves the flow channel via the air vent. A color wheel and a photo sensor are disposed in the flow channel and positioned between the air intake of the flow channel and the air inlet of the fan, and an integration rod is disposed in the flow channel and positioned between the air outlet of the fan and the air vent of the flow channel. The air filter is disposed in the air intake of the flow channel.

Abstract: Described are a method and apparatus for searching for user relevant information in content repositories using community search scopes. According to the method, a user is presented with a selection of search scopes in which the user is a member. The user selects one of the search scopes according to the desired information and provides a search request that can include, for example, keywords, phrases and data attributes. Searching is performed in each content repository assigned to the search scope if the user is a member of the content repository. Relevant information found in the search content repositories is presented to the user.

Abstract: A system for generating an electronic notice programmed to display a portion of a day out of the office notice. The system including an application server node configured to execute a personal information management application. An application programming interface is programmatically associated with the personal information management application for allowing requests for services to be transmitted to the personal information management application. At least one of a rich client delegate and a remote EJB housing the API, the rich client delegate and the remote EJB being programmatically associated with the application server node and the personal information management application. The rich client delegate being configured to receive and transmit data to the API via a network. At least one client node is operably associated with the application server node via the network. Each client node having a user interface (UI) that is programmatically associated with the personal information management application.

When files are obtained by a shared indexing service, and a determination is made as to whether the received files are duplicates with regard to previously indexed files. If a file is determined to be a duplicate, the index representation of the previously indexed copy of the file is modified to indicate that the file is also associated with another computer system in the peer to peer network. If a file is not a duplicate of a previously indexed file, the file is indexed to support future searches. The index representation of a file includes category identifiers associating one or more computer systems with the file. When a file is indexed, one or more category identifiers are generated and stored in association with that file.

Abstract: The invention provides an anodised aluminium product for use in a metal core printed circuit board which in which the anodised layer forms a dielectric, and the resultant metal core printed circuit board has a sandwich structure having a thermal conductivity higher than and a thermal resistance lower than conventional metal core printed circuit boards using alternative dielectric layers, and with improved electrical insulation properties. The invention has application in manufacture of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards which have a metal substrate, manufacture of a heat conductive substrate for semiconductor devices, and electronic devices. While the use of the invention is described in relation to metal core printed circuit boards, the anodising process and anodised aluminium of the invention may have other applications beyond this technology. The invention also provides a method of manufacturing such an anodised aluminium product.

If a document is determined to be a duplicate, the index representation of the previously indexed copy of the document is modified to indicate that the document is also associated with another application or context. If a document is not a duplicate of a previously indexed document, the document is indexed to support future searches and/or other processing. The index representation of a document includes application category identifiers associating one or more applications or contexts with the document. When a document is indexed, one or more category identifiers are generated and stored in association with that document.

Abstract: An analysis method for five-differential complete blood cell based on visual image is provided. The analysis method for five-differential complete blood cell is carried out in two channels. The method includes: counting blood cells by typical cytometry to obtain the amount of blood cells; identifying and counting the blood cells by image recognition to obtain the percent of each kind of blood cells; then calculating the results from the two channels to obtain the number of each kind of blood cells.

Abstract: When a message having at least one attachment is obtained for indexing, it is indexed as N+1 separate documents, where N is the number of attached documents. If the message is part of a message thread, then information regarding the last message in the thread is retrieved, and search index attachment meta data for the last message is extracted. A unique identifier is computed for the newly obtained attachments, and used to search for matches in the attachments for the last message in the thread. If there is a match, then the newly obtained attachment is not indexed, but the unique identifier of the previously indexed matching attachment is added to a body index document for the new message. A unique identifier associated with the new message is also added to a list of parent identifiers associated with the attachment.

Abstract: A system for central refresh of a place includes a source place; a place type; a child place; each place comprising a plurality of place objects implemented as documents, logic, and associated design note, each design note including a plurality of items; some of the items being content items descriptive of content of the objects. A central refresh execution module determines whether an inherited place object is modified in a place by assigning to each item a sequence indicia indicative of change activity with respect to the item; generating and storing a stored checksum of sequence indicia generated for the content items; and responsive to a refresh operation with respect to the child place, and calculating a refresh checksum of sequence indicia for the content items. The central refresh execution module is responsive to the stored checksum and the refresh checksum being unequal for refreshing the child place.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for expanded membership access control in a collaborative environment. A collaborative application which has been configured for expanded membership access control can include a collaborative space configured to host places, and rooms and sub-rooms within the places. The collaborative space further can include a membership management processor coupled to the collaborative space and programmed both to produce access control lists for the rooms and sub-rooms based upon specified roles for members and to assign the roles to members added to the rooms and sub-rooms separately from the access control lists. Notably, a membership directory also can be included which can be configured to store membership information for the members exclusive of the access control lists.
