  • Publication number: 20180278376
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and a user equipment for performing a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) transmission in a downlink from a base station to at least one user equipment are provided. An exemplary method comprises receiving a HARQ feedback to a HARQ transmission performed with respect to a transport block. The method further comprises determining whether the HARQ feedback is an ambiguous HARQ feedback with respect to a negative acknowledgement or a discontinuous transmission. The method additionally comprises setting (S206) the ambiguous HARQ feedback as the negative acknowledgement or the discontinuous transmission based on the number of HARQ transmissions having been performed and the corresponding received HARQ feedbacks within a target number of HARQ transmissions counting from a first HARQ transmission. With the methods and apparatuses, the ambiguity of the HARQ feedback can be overcome and communication efficiency may be improved.

  • Publication number: 20180014260
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic cell breathing for power saving are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a radio access node includes determining a target transmit power level from multiple predetermined transmit power levels for the radio access node. The method also includes determining that the current transmit power level should be adjusted to reach the target transmit power level and, in response, adjusting a transmit power level of the radio access node from the current transmit power level to the target transmit power level via multiple transmit power level adjustments. Adjusting the power level of the radio access node via more than one transmit power level adjustment makes it possible to avoid some of the issues with the sleep mode proposal, according to some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 9379842
Abstract: A method and base station for adjusting outer-loop adjustment values used for link adaptation in a wireless communication network is provided. A modulation of a user equipment is determined and a success or failure of a Transport Block (TB) based on a TB feedback message is determined. Based on the TB feedback, one of an acknowledgement counter and a non-acknowledgement counter is incremented corresponding to the determined modulation. • Patent number: 9240870
Abstract: A method and system for carrier aggregation scheduling in a communication system are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method for carrier aggregation scheduling includes selecting a set of at least one component carrier from a group of candidate component carriers upon which to transmit data in a queue. The selecting of all component carriers in the set is performed prior to determining an amount of data to be assigned to any one of the component carriers in the set. • Patent number: 9203590
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a generalized outer loop link adaptation procedure. A normal outer-loop control procedure corrects an estimated SINR, which may be inaccurate if the estimate SINR is mapped from a channel quality estimate that does not reflect the true radio link condition. A normal outer control procedure functions properly only when a normal Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) is selected. A normal MCS is the highest Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) with which the target Block Error Rate (BLER) can be achieved given a certain number of HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) transmissions. The present application discloses a generalized outer loop link adaptation procedure that functions properly whether the selected MCS is normal, aggressive, or conservative.

  • Patent number: 9166745
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for assigning resources for an acknowledgement channel, such as the PHICH in LTE systems. Acknowledgement channels for the mobile terminals are assigned to channel groups based on a predetermined assignment criteria. All acknowledgment channels in the same channel group receive acknowledgements on the same downlink resources (e.g., resource elements in OFDM system). A required transmit energy for each channel is determined. If the total required transmit energy for all channels exceeds an available transmit power, the allocated transmit energy for each channel is either scaled down so that the total actual transmit power for all acknowledgment channels is equal to the available transmit power, or some acknowledgment channels are not transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20150177232
Abstract: A clinical specimen detector includes a clip having a clamping end and a pressing end; and wherein a pair of compressing slices are disposed on the clamping end, and a channel is disposed in the lower end of at least one of the pair of compressing slices. A detecting reagent test chip is attached to the outer surface of the compressing slice. The lower end of the detecting reagent test chip is substantially aligned with and is adjacent to the channel. The lower ends of the compressing slices clamp an adsorptive material adsorbed with body fluid such that the body fluid can be released from the adsorptive material because of the compression of the compressing slices and can be delivered to the lower end of the detecting reagent test chip via the channel, so as to perform disease testing and physiological condition testing with the detecting reagent test chip.
