    Abstract: A method for filling a trench with a metal layer is disclosed. A deposition apparatus having a plurality of supporting pins is provided. A substrate and a dielectric layer disposed thereon are provided. The dielectric layer has a trench. A first deposition process is performed immediately after the substrate is placed on the supporting pins to form a metal layer in the trench, wherein during the first deposition process a temperature of the substrate is gradually increased to reach a predetermined temperature. When the temperature of the substrate reaches the predetermined temperature, a second deposition process is performed to completely fill the trench with the metal layer. The present invention further provides a semiconductor device having an aluminum layer with a reflectivity greater than 1, wherein the semiconductor device is formed by using the method.

    Abstract: A table is processed to determine an approximate NDV for a plurality of groups. For each row, a group based is identified based on one or more group-by columns. A hashed valued is generated by applying a uniform hash function to a value in an NDV column. The hashed value is assigned to a particular bucket based on the values at a first set of bit positions in a binary representation of the hashed value. A bit position value is determined based on for a remaining portion of the binary representation of the hashed value. The bit position value is based on a number of ordered bits in the hashed value that match a particular bit pattern. For each group identified, a maximum bit position (MBP) table is generated. The MBP table stores, for one or more buckets, the maximum bit position value determined for hashed values assigned to a particular bucket.

    Abstract: A uniform-distribution filling mechanism for medicinal powder includes a metering disk, a powder storage ring, and a lateral powder blocker. One end of the blocker is provided with a pointed tip, and the other end thereof is provided with a sloping stage. The middle portion of the metering disk is provided with a support shaft, said shaft and the blocker being connected one to the other by means of a support arm. Medicinal powder enters via the pointed tip of the blocker, is evenly agitated, exits via the sloping stage of the blocker, and is evenly dispensed. Thus, the powder is able to enter one side of the blocker and come out the other side thereof such that the powder is evenly dispensed and then uniformly distributed onto the metering disk.

Except in rare circumstances, a database server may only execute a command according to a baseline plan, even if the database server predicts that a different plan has a lower cost. The set of baseline plans are plans that, for one reason or another, have been determined to provide acceptable actual performance in at least one execution context. When the database server receives a request to execute a particular command, the database server, if possible, always executes the command according to the lowest predicted cost baseline plan. The database server may evolve the plan baseline to include additional plans by generating and testing new plans in response to new requests to execute the database command, or as part of a query optimization or tuning process.

The voltage reducing circuit is coupled with a signal pad and utilized for generating a reduced voltage according to an external voltage. When an internal voltage generated by an internal circuit of the electronic device is greater than the reduced voltage, the first node outputs the internal voltage as a first voltage. When the internal voltage is less than the reduced voltage, the first node outputs the reduced voltage as the first voltage. The first transistor is coupled with the signal pad and the first node. The second transistor is coupled with a second terminal of the first transistor and a fixed-voltage terminal. The control logic operates according to the first voltage to control switching operations of the second transistor.

The pivot joint includes a pivot mount, a first driving plate, a second driving plate and a locking mechanism. A release mechanism is adopted to associate between the locking mechanisms of the two pivot joints for unlocking the locking mechanisms simultaneously. Once the two pivot joints are unlocked by the release mechanism, the stroller frame can be safely folded into a folded configuration by depressing the push arm downward. While the push arm is rotating downward, the pivot joint shall make the front strut to rotate rearward to close the rear strut automatically.

    Abstract: A system to rebuild a difference virtual hard disk (VHD) for updating an operation system (OS) and a method thereof are provided. After a setting host updates a OS contained in a parent VHD, a service host uses the parent VHD as a base image to build a difference VHD. After the service host writes system setting data into the difference VHD, a virtual machine (VM) executed by the service host loads the updated OS. The updated OS executes the agent after startup so that the agent sets the operating environment according to the setting data. The system and the method need not to update OSes using the same base image respectively, and can achieve the effect of increasing the efficiency of updating the OS using the same base image, and decreasing network traffic when updating the OS.

    Abstract: A server, a host and a method for reading the base image through a storage area network (SAN) are provided. A setting host builds a parent virtual hard disk (VHD) in a storage server through an SAN. The parent VHD is used as a base image to build a difference VHD in a local disk by the service host. After a virtual machine (VM) operated on the service host mounts the difference VHD and when the VM executes a target program, the service host reads original data in the parent VHD through the SAN and accesses difference data generated by the target program in the difference VHD in the local disk. The server, the host and the method can configure base image and difference VHD on different devices, and can achieve the effect of increasing access performance and number of supported VMs of the storage server.
