  • Patent number: 11688174
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, devices and methods for identifying objects and scenarios that have not been trained or are unidentifiable to vehicle perception sensors or vehicle assistive driving systems. Embodiments are directed to using a trained vehicle data set to identify target objects in vehicle sensor data. In one embodiment, a process is provided that includes running a scene detection operation on vehicle to derive a vector of target object attributes of the vehicle sensor data and generating a vector representation for the scene detection operation and the attributes of the vehicle sensor data. The vector representation compared to a familiarity vector to represent effectiveness of the scene detection operation. In addition, the vector representation can be scored to identify one or more target objects or significant scenarios, including unidentifiable objects and/or driving scenes, scenarios for reporting.

  • Publication number: 20230174052
Abstract: A vehicular personalized adaptive cruise control system includes a forward-viewing camera viewing forward through a windshield of a vehicle, and an electronic control unit disposed at the vehicle. When the vehicle is operating in an adaptive cruise control mode, the system controls driving of the vehicle. When the equipped vehicle is not operating in the adaptive cruise control mode, a driver present in the vehicle drives the vehicle. The system identifies the driver via processing of image data captured by a cabin monitoring camera. When the identified driver drives the vehicle with the vehicle not operating in the adaptive cruise control mode, the system determines and stores personalized parameters for the identified driver. With the identified driver present in the vehicle, and when the vehicle is operating in the adaptive cruise control mode, the system uses the determined personalized parameters.

  • Patent number: 11565690
Abstract: A vehicular driving assistance system is operable to control driving of a vehicle when operating in a driving assist mode. When the vehicular driving assistance system is not operating in the driving assist mode, a driver controls driving of the vehicle. The system identifies the driver and receives information pertaining to operation by the identified driver of the vehicle while the vehicle is driven by the identified driver. The system generates first and second personalized parameter sets for the identified driver when the driver drives the vehicle during respective first and second driving conditions. When the system is operating in the driving assist mode and the identified driver is present in the vehicle, and responsive to a current driving condition of the vehicle corresponding to one of the determined driving conditions, the system controls the vehicle in accordance with the respective generated personalized parameter set for that driving condition.

  • Patent number: 10839263
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, devices and methods for evaluating a trained vehicle data set of a driver assistance system. Embodiments are directed to scoring run time attributes of a scene detection operation using a trained vehicle data set against a vector representation for an annotated data set to assess the ability of the scene detection operation to perceive target object attributes of the vehicle sensor data. In one embodiment, scoring evaluates effectiveness of the scene detection operation in identifying target object attributes of the vehicle sensor data using the trained vehicle data set. An event flag may be determined for a trained vehicle data set based on the scoring, the even flag identifying one or more parameters for updating the trained vehicle data set. Configurations and processes can identify anomalies to a trained vehicle data set and allow for capturing useful real world data to test runtime operations.
