Abstract: Example communication methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes that a first network node receives first configuration information from a second network node. The first configuration information includes a serving cell set configured for a terminal device, and indicates a status of a secondary cell. The first network node sends the first configuration information and first indication information to the terminal device, where the first indication information includes information about a status of at least one secondary cell, and the at least one secondary cell belongs to the serving cell set.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a minimization of drive tests measurement method and apparatus. The method includes: determining, by a user equipment, according to an MDT triggering parameter, whether to acquire an MDT measurement value, where the MDT triggering parameter includes at least one of the following: an SINR, a data rate, a packet loss rate of a voice service, a data packet latency, or service interruption time; acquiring, by the user equipment, the MDT measurement value when it is determined to acquire the MDT measurement; and sending, by the user equipment, the MDT measurement value to a network side. The minimization of drive tests measurement methods and devices in the embodiments of the present application are capable of avoiding that a user equipment reports a large amount of useless information, and reducing burdens on an air interface and a network side.

Abstract: This application provides a wireless connection control method relating to a base station system including a centralized unit and a distributed unit, wherein the centralized unit communicates with the distributed unit, and the distributed unit communicates with a terminal through an air interface. The method includes: first receiving, by the distributed unit, a first message sent by the terminal, where the first message is used to request to establish an air interface control plane connection for the terminal; then sending, by the distributed unit, the first message to the centralized unit; and then receiving, by the distributed unit, a second message sent by the centralized unit, where the second message is used to instruct to establish the air interface control plane connection between the terminal and the distributed unit. The method may implement wireless connection control in a 5G system when functions of a base station are separated.

Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a cellular radio access device sends, by using a non-cellular radio access device, a data frame to the UE served by the cellular radio access device, where the data frame includes a data packet that the cellular radio access device needs to send to the UE, and indication information used to indicate that the data packet is a cellular network data packet. The indication information is used by the UE to process the data packet by using a cellular network protocol according to the indication information.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a communications apparatus. The communication method includes: receiving, from a second network device, a first message indicating one or both of a first data volume of first data sent from a core network device to the second network device and from the second network device to a terminal and a second data volume of second data sent from the terminal to the second network device and from the second network device to the core network device, wherein the first data and the second data are data of a bearer, data of a flow, or data of a session, and wherein the first network device is a master node and the second network device is a secondary node both connecting to the terminal; sending, to the core network device, a second message indicating one or both of the first data volume and the second data volume.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a wireless local area network WLAN measurement and reporting method, and a related device. The method includes: acquiring, by a user terminal, WLAN group information, where the WLAN group information indicates at least one WLAN group; determining, by the user terminal, whether at least one WLAN in the WLAN group satisfies WLAN measurement configuration information; and reporting, by the user terminal, a measurement result of the at least one WLAN in the WLAN group to a base station when the at least one WLAN in the WLAN group satisfies the WLAN measurement configuration information. Therefore, a signaling resource can be saved, thereby reducing signaling load caused by simultaneous reporting of a large quantity of WLAN measurement results.

Abstract: The present application relates to a service transfer method, user equipment, and an access network device. The method includes: receiving, by user equipment, a public land mobile network identity PLMN ID and auxiliary information corresponding to the PLMN ID that are sent by a 3GPP access network entity, where the auxiliary information corresponding to the PLMN ID is used by the user equipment to perform service transfer to a wireless local area network WLAN that an operator corresponding to the PLMN ID allows the user equipment to access; and performing, by the user equipment, service transfer according to the PLMN ID and the auxiliary information corresponding to the PLMN ID. Technical solutions provided in embodiments of the present invention may increase a success rate of service transfer.

Abstract: Example communications methods and systems are described. One example communications system includes a base station supporting connectivity to a core network of the first communications standard and a core network of the second communications standard. One example method includes that a terminal receives information broadcast by the base station. The information includes a first and a second area identities. When the terminal enters a cell served by the base station from a cell of the second communications standard and when the second area identity does not belong to a current area list of the terminal, the terminal initiates an area update to the core network of the second communications standard. The base station broadcasts the area identities of the two communications standards.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for accessing a network by a user equipment (UE), and an access device. The method includes: sending, by a source side access device, an access indication message to a UE, where the access indication message is used to instruct the UE to access a target side access device; or sending, by a source side access device, a first notification message to a target side access device, where the first notification message is used to instruct the target side access device to send, to a UE, access information used to instruct the UE to access the target side access device; and in a process in which the UE accesses the target side access device, maintains a connection between the UE and the source side access device.

Abstract: A multi-connectivity communication method includes: a secondary base station receives a first RRC message generated by an RRC entity of an anchor base station and a second RRC message generated by an RRC entity of the secondary base station. The secondary base station sends the first RRC message and the second RRC message to the terminal via an air interface between the secondary base station and the terminal, where a PDCP header, an RLC header, or a newly added adaptation layer carries indication information, the indication information is used to indicate a target RRC entity that generates an RRC message, the target RRC entity is the RRC entity of the anchor base station or the RRC entity of the secondary base station, and the anchor base station and the secondary base station use different radio access technologies.

Abstract: This application discloses an information transmission method in a communication system. According to the method, a master base station sends a request message to a secondary base station for requesting to transfer one or more flows from the master base station to the secondary base station for transmission to a terminal device. The request message carries one or both of identification information of each flow, and information of a data radio bearer (DRB) associated with each flow. The master base station receives a response message from the secondary base station, indicating whether each of the one or more flows is admitted or rejected by the secondary base station. Based on the identification information of the flows, DRBs are mapped to the flows. QoS management of information transmission is more refined, and requirements of 5G communication systems for QoS management of information transmission in a dual connectivity scenario can be met.

A central unit (CU) obtains a quality of service (QoS) parameter of a QoS data flow and performs mapping the QoS data flow to a bearer based on the QoS parameter of the QoS data flow. The CU determines a QoS parameter of the bearer based on the QoS parameter of the QoS data flow and sends a context setup request message to a distributed unit (DU), wherein the context setup request message comprises the QoS parameter of the bearer, the QoS parameter of the QoS data flow and the mapping relationship between the QoS data flow and the bearer.

The method includes: a user equipment receives WLAN AP request information from a base station in a Minimization of Drive Tests (MDT) measurement configuration process, collects WLAN AP information according to the WLAN AP request information, and sends the WLAN AP information to the base station, wherein the WLAN AP request information is used to request the UE to report WLAN AP information. In the technical solutions provided in the embodiments, by using an MDT measurement configuration process, a UE may collect and report WLAN AP information based on architecture of a mobile communications network. In this way, WLAN AP information can be conveniently collected.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a multi-connectivity communication method and a device. An access network device of a first network determines to use an access network device of a second network to perform data splitting for data of UE, and then sends first splitting configuration information to the UE and sends second splitting configuration information to the access network device of the second network. The first splitting configuration information is used to notify the UE that the access network device of the second network is to split to-be-split data of the UE. The second splitting configuration information is used to instruct the access network device of the second network to split the to-be-split data of the UE.

Abstract: A method for providing information about a height of a user equipment is disclosed. In an embodiment the method includes receiving, by user equipment, a first height requirement message sent by a network side device, wherein the first height requirement message is used to obtain a height information of a position in which the user equipment is located, listening, by the user equipment, to a broadcast message of an access node, wherein the broadcast message includes a node identifier of the access node and a receive power information of the access node received by the user equipment, and sending, by the user equipment, a response message to the network side device, wherein the response message includes the node identifier of the access node of the user equipment and the receive power information of the user equipment.
