    Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus can include gate lines and data lines intersecting with each other in a matrix type to define pixel areas on a first substrate, a common electrode disposed in the pixel areas, a common electrode compensation pattern directly contacting the common electrode at positions overlapping the gate lines and the data lines, and a pixel electrode disposed on the common electrode compensation pattern. A position of the common electrode compensation pattern is shifted by a horizontal pitch of one subpixel between adjacent pixel rows of the pixel areas.
