  • Patent number: 5292190
Abstract: The invention relates to a preferably hollow metal stock for drawer sides, especially drawer sides, and to a method for the production of such hollow stock. The hollow material has a hollow space which is foam-filled, to improve the properties of the action of a drawer made from the stock by reducing the noise that occurs when a drawer is opened and closed. The strength of the stock is also improved and as is a drawer made from the stock.

  • Patent number: 4919548
Abstract: A drawer guide has a runner rail and a guide rail in the form of a channel, which can be displaced relative to one another by rolling on at least one wheel journaled at the drawer-front end of the guide rail and at least one wheel journaled on the rearward end of the runner rail, the wheels running each on a flange of their companion rail. The guide rail is of a channel-like configuration in which the flanges overreach the runner rail wheel and curl slightly around it. The free margin of the flange forming the track for the runner rail overreaches the guide rail wheel and curls slightly around it. As the fully extended position is approached, the width of the space between the web and at least one, preferably both, of the flanges of the guide rail narrows gradually over the length traveled by the runner rail wheel.

  • Patent number: 4799802
Abstract: In a drawer guide having a shaped guide rail which can be fastened to the wall of a cabinet and which is engaged from below into a corresponding runner rail in the form of an inverted channel which can be fastened to the drawer, tracks for rolling bearings are formed in the interior of the runner rail. Upon a longitudinal displacement of the runner rail relative to the guide rail, these rolling bearings roll on these runner rail tracks and in tracks formed in the portion of the guide rail which is engaged in the runner rail. The portion of the guide rail that is engaged in the runner rail is bent from the substantially horizontal part of the guide rail. On the latter part of the guide rail a resiliently deformable brake element is provided and on a lateral ear of the runner rail there is provided a projection which will run against the resilient brake element in the desired braking position.

  • Patent number: 4779999
Abstract: In a drawer guide with a guide rail to be fastened to the wall of a cabinet, the guide rail enters from below into a corresponding tubular runner rail of an open-bottomed rectangular or square cross section which is to be fastened removably to the drawer, and which contains in its interior races for rolling bodies held in an elongated cage. The rolling bodies can roll on the races of the guide rail on the one hand and on races formed by associated areas of the inner surface of the runner rail and thus permit a longitudinal movement of the runner rail relative to the guide rail, the rolling bodies that serve to accommodate the weight load being formed by a series of rollers with their horizontal axes disposed athwart the direction of drawer movement and the rolling bodies that serve for lateral guidance and stabilization being formed by two rows of balls disposed at a different level than the rollers, one on each side of the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 4720896
Abstract: Hinge for hanging a door on the facing of a cabinet. The carcase-related part of the hinge, in the form of an elongated door-supporting arm, can be adjustably fastened on a mounting plate preinstalled on the inside surface of the facing, while its free end, which is angled toward the door, is coupled to a door-related member in the form of a hollow cup by means of a four-joint mechanism. The door-supporting arm is fastened to the mounting plate through an intermediate piece which is disposed in its rearward end portion between the supporting arm and the mounting plate and is mounted releasably on the mounting plate and on the supporting arm of adjustment by a certain amount lengthwise of the supporting arm. The intermediate piece and the supporting arm are coupled together by a threaded spindle (84) which is in threaded engagement with one of the coupled parts while it is connected to the other part in such a way that it is rotatable, but non-displaceable lengthwise relative thereto.

  • Patent number: 4698877
Abstract: In a hinge for hanging flush overlap doors, the door-related hinge part which can be mounted on the door is coupled by an articulation mechanism to a carcase-related hinge part in the form of an elongated supporting arm which in turn is secured to a mounting plate fastened to the door-supporting wall of a cabinet carcase. By means of an adjusting screw thrusting against the supporting arm or against the mounting plate and threaded into the mounting plate or supporting arm, as the case may be, an adjustment of the overlap or coverage dimension of the door on the front edge of the supporting wall is possible. The fastening which secures the supporting arm on the mounting plate is in the form of a pivot system with a pivot axis running parallel to the pivot axis of the articulation mechanism.
