  • Patent number: 4641393
Abstract: The supporting arm of a cabinet hinge is adjustably mounted on a mounting plate to be attached to the supporting wall of a cabinet and has at its cabinet-internal end an open-ended longitudinal slot through which passes a screw fastening it to the mounting plate. A setscrew is threaded in a tap situated adjacent the front or outer end of the supporting arm and has at its bottom end adjacent the mounting plate a holding head in the form of a spherical body having a circumferential annular groove formed in rotational symmetry with the longitudinal axis of the setscrew. The holding head is inserted into an open-ended longitudinal groove having a narrow mouth, the cross section of the groove being substantially complementary to the cross section of the holding head in a plane in the longitudinal axis of the setscrew, so that the holding head is accommodated so as to be longitudinally displaceable in the longitudinal groove but secured against lifting out of the groove.

  • Patent number: 4639145
Abstract: On a drawer guide having a guide track to be fastened to the carcase of a cabinet and a runner track to be fastened to a drawer side, the drawer or other sliding device is movable relative to the cabinet by at least one wheel journaled at the front end of the guide track and at least one wheel journaled at the rearward end of the runner rail, each wheel rolling against a flange on the opposite rail. A circumferential groove is provided on each of the rolling surfaces of the wheels, and in it there is inserted a resilient tire of rubber, plastic or other elastomeric material, which then protrudes above the rolling surface of the wheel. In the end portions of the tracks, at the points where the wheels are at rest when the drawer guide is fully retracted, an indentation or groove of short length is provided in alignment with the resilient tire, and the depth thereof is at least equal to the height of the resilient tire above the rolling surface of the wheel.

  • Patent number: 4615437
Abstract: A container for holding contents as two separate components which can be mixed together later. The container comprises a cup positioned in a neck of the container for receiving a first of the components; a screwcap coordinated with the neck of the container and having a collar extending into the cup, a front edge of said collar forming a strike edge for separating the cup in the region of a line of intended breakage upon a further screwing on of the screwcap beyond a basic position for storage; and a wall of the cup has an annular step, and the strike edge of the collar comes flush on the annular step on the wall of the cup, the step--forming the place of intended breakage--being located at a distance above the bottom of the cup, there being a bead extending towards an outer surface of the collar and projecting inwardly from the inner surface of the wall of the cup, the step lying below said bead; and a clip shoulder is disposed on the collar and engages the bead of the cup wall.

  • Patent number: 4591050
Abstract: A two-component package comprises a cup arranged in a neck of the package to receive one component, and a screw cap. The cup defines an intended break line and cooperates with the neck of the package. A collar which extends into the cup, defines an abutment edge at the front end thereof. The abutment edge is disposed for separating the cup in the region of said break line upon a screwing of the cap.The cup defines a cup wall and an annular step therein. The step includes the break line spaced above the bottom of the cup.An inner surface of the cup wall has a bead inwardly directed therefrom. The bead disposed above the annular step engages against an outer surface of the collar.

  • Patent number: 4590641
Abstract: Crosslink hinge for mounting a door on the carcass of a cabinet. The door-related part of the crosslink hinge can be affixed in a recess in the door and is composed of an attaching member and a link holder disposed in the attaching member. To vary the position of the door, the link holder is displaceable at right angles to the pivot axis of the hinge and parallel to the door back and can be fixed in the desired position. The carcass-related part of the hinge has on its bottom an inverted-T-shaped projection which can be inserted into a complementary T-shaped socket in its mounting plate. A set screw is threaded into the mounting plate to fix the carcass-related hinge part thereon.

  • Patent number: 4517706
Abstract: Cabinet hinge having a supporting arm which can be snapped onto the mounting plate. The supporting arm (16) of the hinge is adjustably fastened to the mounting plate (14) that is previously mounted on the supporting wall (12) of a cabinet, and it has a slot (34) which is open at the end remote from the hinge articulation or is provided with an enlarged pass-through opening to admit the head (38) of a mounting screw (40) driven into the mounting plate (14). The mounting plate (14) is provided with a spring catch (wire spring 72) projecting beyond its lateral surface and associated with an abutment on the confronting inside surface of the supporting arm (16). The position of this abutment with respect to the tip (78) of the spring catch is selected such that the tip engages the abutment as soon as the shank of the mounting screw (40) reaches the area of transition from the slot (34) to the pass-through opening (36) or open end, as the case may be, of the slot.

  • Patent number: 4500140
Abstract: A slide for drawers and the like, to be provided in pairs on opposite sides of a drawable furniture part and an associated carcass wall. It has a profiled cabinet rail (26) to be connected to the carcass wall (14) and a drawer rail (18) to be connected to the drawer. At the front end of the cabinet rail and at the rear end of the drawer rail there is rotatably journaled a roller (32;24) running on the drawer and cabinet rail respectively. An adjusting key (34) is longitudinally displaceably arranged at the cabinet rail and rests against the drawer rail. The connection of the key at the cabinet rail is such that, upon longitudinal displacement, a displacement component transverse to the drawing direction is superimposed on it, whereby an adjustment of the transverse play of the drawer between the carcass walls is possible.

The hinge has a door-leaf-related hinge part fastenable sunkenly in the back of the door leaf and, a frame-related hinge part which is pivotingly coupled by a link mechanism with the door-related hinge part. The frame-related part has a mounting piece fitted and mounted into the frame member recess and a block jointed by the link mechanism to the door-leaf-related hinge part and displaceably disposed in this recess parallel to the front side of the frame and at right angles to the end face of the corresponding frame member. The block is joined to the mounting part by a screw element whose threaded shank is in engagement with a counter-thread in the block and is held in the mounting piece rotatably but undisplaceably in the longitudinal direction of the shank.

  • Patent number: 4210980
Abstract: A hinge for cabinet doors or lids, especially for period furniture, having two visible sleeve-like hinge parts which can be fastened to the supporting wall of the cabinet and to the cabinet door or lid, respectively, and which are swingable relative to one another about the longitudinal axis of a pintle held in one of the hinge parts and engaging a complementary bore in the other hinge part. The pintle is made in one piece with a mounting pin added at approximately right angles to its end held in the hinge part and fastenable in a bore of the associated cabinet part. The visible, sleeve-like hinge part holding the pintle has on the side facing the associated cabinet part an aperture through which the pivot pin can be passed during assembly and from which the mounting pin protrudes. The pintle and the mounting pin are held in the position correctly aligned with the sleeve-like hinge part by a plug pushed onto the mounting pin and plugging up the aperture in the hinge part.
