Rather than assigning copies to specific users at the time the program is recorded, copies can be assigned as the users request access to the particular media programs. Copies of unassigned programs can be deleted according to a schedule to reduce disk storage and processing demands on the system. A pool of program copies that are not initially assigned to particular users can be maintained until the user makes a specific request to view the program. This “late assignment” of program copies can substantially reduce the amount of data stored by the RSDVR system without substantially impacting the viewer experience.

Abstract: Molten carbonate fuel cell configurations are provided that allow for introduction of an anode input gas flow on a side of the fuel cell that is adjacent to the entry side for the cathode input gas flow while allowing the anode and cathode to operate under co-current flow and/or counter-current flow conditions. It has been discovered that improved flow properties can be achieved within the anode or cathode during co-current flow or counter-current flow operation by diverting the input flow for the anode or cathode into an extended edge seal region (in an extended edge seal chamber) adjacent to the active area of the anode or cathode, and then using a baffle to provide sufficient pressure drop for even flow distribution of the anode input flow across the anode or cathode input flow across the cathode.

Abstract: User profiles of remote desktops are managed in a crash-consistent manner. When a user logs into a remote desktop, metadata of the user profile is loaded from persistent storage while registry settings and files of the user profile are loaded asynchronously with respect to the login. During the remote desktop session, snapshots of the remote desktop image in persistent storage are generated periodically, and a change log that indicates changes to the user profile is created therefrom. The user profile stored in persistent storage is updated lazily using the change log at opportunistic times after snapshot generation. When the user logs out of the remote desktop, the user profile stored in the persistent storage is updated with any additional changes to the user profile by extracting the changes from the copy-on-write cache associated with the most recent snapshot.

Abstract: The subject matter described herein provides systems and techniques for adding an identity (ID) header to IP packets associated with a VoIP call. This ID header may be used to authenticate the source provider/originator of a VoIP call, may be used to traceback to the source provider/originator of the VoIP call, and may be used to create a relationship between the source provider/originator and the destination provider/destination of the VoIP call. Such steps may be performed by a public proxy/platform. The ID header may include a certificate and/or a public encryption key, from a public certificate authority (CA) infrastructure, which assists in authenticating the source provider/originator of the VoIP call. The public proxy/platform may directly route authenticated VoIP calls through a VoIP network towards its destination, bypassing a public switched telephone network (PSTN).

For example, the HCCP manages workloads across public and private cloud data centers and on-premise data centers. The HCCP can leverage a Global ID (global identifier) to create a global trace across the hybrid cloud ecosystem. Also discloses is a “hybrid cloud connected” capability. In one embodiment, a hybrid cloud connected capability comprises of a global identity, a hybrid cloud network connection, and a managed API (application programming interface) used to seamlessly perform transactions in a hybrid cloud environment.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes establishing a session to a remote desktop determined for a user of a client device. The session allows the client device to remotely access the remote desktop to have one or more services performed for the user of the client device using resources of the remote desktop. The client device sends a request for a service in the one or more services to be performed on the remote desktop in the session and receives a result set determined from the service being performed by the remote desktop. A native viewer for the client device is determined based on a type of the result set. The native viewer is then invoked to display the result set.

A proxy agent exchanges metadata and input events with a corresponding client running on a client device that accepts a “touch and swipe” style input. The proxy agent parses web content, such as markup documents and scripting code, that makes the presentation tier of the web application. The client constructs and displays native graphical user interface elements at the client device that are virtual representations of a corresponding user interface element of the web application.

The method include receiving position locations from each of multiple aircraft. The method also include the receipt of an attitude of each of the aircraft as well as receipt of measurements of the pilot signals from each of the aircraft. The pilot signals were transmitted by the base station. The method also include the adjustment of an amplitude and a phase of a signal driving at least one antenna transmit element to refine the beam pattern. The adjustment is based at least in part on the pilot measurements, the position locations, and the attitude of each of the aircraft.
