    Abstract: In at least one illustrative embodiment, an electromagnetic filter may include a transfer pipe and multiple electromagnetic filter elements positioned in an interior volume of the pipe. Each electromagnetic filter element includes a support comb, a solenoid coupled to the support comb, and multiple magnetic members arranged in a planar array positioned within an opening of the support comb. Each magnetic member may rotate about an end that is coupled to the support comb. The magnetic members may be magnetostrictive sensors and may include a biorecognition element to bind with a target microorganism. A method for fluid filtration includes coupling the electromagnetic filter between a fluid source and a fluid destination, energizing the solenoids of each electromagnetic filter elements, and flowing a fluid media through the transfer pipe of the electromagnetic filter. The fluid media may be liquid food such as fruit juice. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

    Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for superimposing a virtual image on a real-time image. A system for superimposing a virtual image on a real-time image comprises a real-time image module and a virtual image module. The real-time image module comprises a magnification assembly to generate a real-time image of an object at a first location and a first depth, with a predetermined magnification. The virtual image module generates a virtual image by respectively projecting a right light signal to a viewer's right eye and a corresponding left light signal to a viewer's left eye. The right light signal and the corresponding left light signal are perceived by the viewer to display the virtual image at a second location and a second depth. The second depth is related to an angle between the right light signal and the corresponding left light signal projected to the viewer's eyes. The second depth may be approximately the same as the first depth.

    Abstract: A calcium phosphate-based core-shell structured material, a method for preparing the same, and an oral care composition using the same are provided. The calcium phosphate-based core-shell structured material includes an amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) core and a ?-tricalcium phosphate (?-TCP) shell covering the core. The method includes a first sintering step and a second sintering step. The first sintering step is to sinter an ACP material at between 700° C. and 800° C. to obtain an ?-TCP shell. The second sintering step allows the ?-TCP shell to form into the ?-TCP shell by sintering at between 800° C. and 900° C. The oral care composition includes a calcium phosphate mixture and an orally receivable carrier. The calcium phosphate mixture includes a powder of the calcium phosphate-based core-shell structured material and a tricalcium phosphate powder mixed in a weight ratio from 3:5 to 3:7.
