The semiconductor package structure includes a substrate having a chip mounting area and a plurality of through holes surrounding the chip mounting area; a chip set on the chip mounting area and electrically connected to the substrate; a heat sink covering the chip, wherein the heat sink has a plurality of support portions extending from the upper surface to the lower surface of the substrate via those through holes; and a molding compound covering the chip, a portion of the substrate and the heat sink. Those support portions of the heat sink are utilized to improve the heat dissipation efficiency and the warpage issue of the package.

    Abstract: The invention provides an organic/inorganic hybrid material and the method for manufacturing the same. A variety of functional monomers are co-polymerized to form a copolymer. The copolymer is subjected to sol-gel reactions with metal alkoxide oligomers to form an organic/inorganic hybrid material. The hybrid material has a high refractive index, a low moisture absorption, a high light transmission ratio, and a high glass transition point, such that the material can be applied in high light extraction efficient LED sealing materials, thin and light myopia/hypropia lens, portable projector lens, high brightness LCD prism films, solar cell refractive photoelectric conversion mirrors, and camera phone/digital camera lens.

    Abstract: A thermal responsive, water soluble copolymer is disclosed, which comprises the co-polymerization product of: (a) 0.5˜20 wt % of N-isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAAm); (b) 0.5˜20 wt % of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone (VPD); (c) 0.01˜10 wt % of acrylic acid (AA); and (d) 80˜90 wt % of acrylamide. The viscosity of.the co-polymerization product is adjustable by temperature. Moreover, phase-separating does not occur in the copolymer while temperature is changing and the structure as well as the fluidity are maintained, therefore, the copolymer of the present invention is suitable for the application of a micro-fluidic chip.

    Abstract: A DVD navigation system comprises a plurality of navigation modules and a utility. Each navigation module comprises a check function determining data correctness of tables corresponding to the respective navigation modules. Each navigation module generates a read table request. The utility receives the read table request, reads at least one table identified by the read table request from at least one IFO file in a file system, and checks data correctness of the table by using the check function. If the data of the table is incorrect, the utility reads the table from at least one backup file of the IFO file in the file system, and transmits the data to the navigation module for decoding.

    Abstract: A semiconductor process is provided. A substrate is provided and then a to-be-etched layer is formed on the substrate. A patterned photoresist layer is formed on the to-be-etched layer. The to-be-etching layer is etched using a gaseous etchant to form a patterned layer. In the meantime, some of the gaseous etchant is condensed on the patterned photoresist layer and above the substrate after the etching process. Thereafter, a heat treatment process is performed to remove the condensed gaseous etchant. An ion implanting process is performed to form a doped region in the substrate. After the ion implanting process, the patterned photoresist layer is removed.

    Abstract: A method and a system for protecting data of a storage unit are disclosed for use in a data processing device. A user identification module encodes and encrypts a password preset by the user and stores the encoded and encrypted password into the storage unit. Next, the user identification module encodes and encrypts partition table data read from a memory unit and stores the encoded and encrypted partition table data in a predetermined location of the storage unit. Then, the user identification module deletes the partition table data stored in the memory unit. Finally, when the user re-starts power of the data processing device and inputs a password consistent with the preset password, the user identification module decodes and decrypts the partition table data stored in the storage unit and writes the decoded and decrypted partition table data to the memory unit to thereby perform booting operation.
