Abstract: An exemplary content scrolling system includes a display unit for displaying content, a scroll bar for scrolling the displayed content, and a processing unit for scrolling the displayed content based on a scroll input of the scroll bar. The processing unit includes a scroll amount calculating module and a content scrolling module. The scroll amount calculating module is for calculating for calculating a scroll amount mapping to the scroll input according to a particular formula. The content scrolling module is for scrolling the displayed content according to the scroll amount. Related exemplary content scrolling methods are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal. The mobile communication terminal includes a display unit; a storage unit for storing communication records and communication frequencies of each of the communication records in a particular time period; and a processing unit, configured for controlling the display unit to display a subset of the communication records in the particular time period, wherein the communication records are sorted according to the associated communication frequencies, and divided into two parts, wherein the two parts of the sorted communication records are listed in an alphabetical order respectively. The present invention also provides a call history displaying method adapted for the mobile communication terminal.

Abstract: A mouse with a screen saver control function is provided. The mouse includes a left button, a right button, a scroll button, a screen saver control button, a memory unit, and a micro-processing unit. The memory unit stores a simulation program. When receiving a signal from the screen saver control button, the micro-processing unit runs the simulation program of the memory unit, and generates simulated input signals to a computer connected thereto, and thus to prevent the computer from running a screen saver program. Utilizing the mouse, a computer user can control a screen saver of the computer momentarily, without resetting a duration of initiating the screen saver program. Therefore, the mouse is very convenient for the computer user to control the computer.

Abstract: A file download method adapted for a download apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a storage unit for storing connection data and search fields, the connection data specifies an external device which the apparatus connects to, and the search fields are used as download conditions for downloading files from the external device connected thereto. The method includes: reading the connection data; connecting the apparatus to the external device according to the connection data; reading the search fields; searching the connected external device for files that match the read search fields; and downloading the matched files. Abstract: A digital photo frame includes a processing unit (110), a display controller (120), a display unit (130) and a control panel (150). The processing unit modifies an original image from an original image file (210) stored in a first storage (20) according to modifying instructions received from the control panel, saves modifying parameters relating to the modification in an image modification file (220) that is stored in a second storage (30) and corresponds to the original image file. After the modification, if the original image is selected at a later time, the processing unit automatically modifies the original image according to the modifying parameters, thereby producing a modified image to be displayed on the display unit.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing, storing and displaying digital images includes a processing unit (10), a display controller (30), a display unit (40) and a control panel (50). The processing unit modifies an original image from an original image file (210) according to modifying instructions received from the control panel, saves modifying parameters relating to the modification in an image modification file (220) that corresponds to the original image file. Abstract: An exemplary output property adjusting apparatus includes a first display area, a second display area, a third display area, a scroll bar, and a micro controller unit (MCU). The first display area is for displaying data files. The second display area is for displaying output properties in a property select mode. The third display area is for displaying at least two adjustable attribute values of a selected output property in a property adjust mode. The MCU applies the selected adjustable attribute value to the selected output property, in response to adjustment operational inputs through the scroll bar. Abstract: A display apparatus adapted for a portable device is provided. The display apparatus includes a storage unit, a primary display, a secondary display, a touch pad, and a processing unit. The primary display is in a larger size than that of the secondary display. The primary display is capable of displaying a virtual keyboard in a power off state. The touch pad is positioned on the primary display, and is capable of generating an operational signal in response to a touch operation on the virtual keyboard. The processing unit is configured for recognizing the operational signal from the touch pad and performing a corresponding control on the primary display and the secondary display. Abstract: A search system used in an ebook reading device is provided. The system includes a search module, a relevancy calculating module, and a sort module. The search module is for searching metadata of the ebooks and comparing the metadata searched with corresponding metadata of an ebook currently displayed, thereby obtaining different comparison results based on different metadata. The relevancy calculating module is for computing relevancy values between the ebook currently displayed and the searched ebooks according to comparison results and corresponding weight values. The sort module is for sorting the searched ebooks according to the relevancy values computed, thereby obtaining different relevancy search results based on different metadata. Therefore, according to the different relevancy search results, readers can obtain different relevant information for the ebook currently displayed. A related search method is also provided.

Abstract: A file display system is provided. The file display system includes a MCU (10), a display control unit (20) and a display unit (30). The MCU receives power-on commands and power-off commands from a control unit (50). According to the preferred embodiment, upon receiving a power-off command, the MCU reads a next page data content of a currently displayed page from a storage apparatus (40) and stores the next page data content in the display control unit; and upon receiving a following power-on command, the MCU enables the display control unit, and the display control unit controls the next page data content stored therein to be displayed on the display unit, the next page data content therefore becomes a currently displayed page. The processing unit is programmed for controlling the primary display and the secondary display according to a current state of the device. The processing unit has the primary display in a power off state if the current state is selected from the group consisting of a standby state, an incoming call state, a communication call state, and a dialing state. A related power saving method used therein is also provided.

Abstract: A method for transmitting a signal between ICs is provided. The method provides an apparatus, a first IC, and a second IC. The apparatus is configured with an enclosure. The first IC is configured with an IR emitter. The second IC is configured an IR receiver. The first IC encodes a command into an IR signal. The IR emitter sends the IR signal. The IR receiver receives the IR signal. The second IC decodes the IR signal into the command. Using the method, signal transmission between ICs is wirelessly so as to avoiding difficulties in arranging lines.

Abstract: A portable electronic apparatus for timely receiving and displaying electronic files is provided. An identification code of the electronic file indicates that the electronic file is an instant file or a common file. A receiving unit (21) of the portable electronic apparatus is configured for receiving the electronic file, determining according to the identification code whether the electronic file is an instant file and determining whether the main part is in the “power-on” state via help of a power controlling unit (24) of the portable electronic apparatus; and sending an interrupting instruction to the main part if the electronic file is an instant file and the main part is in the “power-on” state. The main part receives the interrupt instruction, and obtains the electronic file to display according to the interrupt instruction.
