  • Publication number: 20200412541
Abstract: A biometric authentication platform (10) uses fault-tolerant distributed computing to determine if a supplied biometric sample and a sample stored in a registry are from the same person. A collection of reference samples may be maintained in a distributed user ledger (115), and results of matching are stored in a separate distributed authentication ledger (125). Coordinated use of both ledgers (115, 125) enable biometric authentication of registered users (140) in real time. Variations enable use of a user ledger (115) without an authentication ledger (125), and use of an authentication ledger (125) without a user ledger (115). Either or both ledgers (115, 125) may be shared, private, or combinations of shared and private. Secondary channel audits verify reliability of nodes within a network. Samples may be subdivided and processed in parallel. Sample encryption may be maintained for each processor in a node network.

  • Patent number: 10866375
Abstract: A light source device and an electronic apparatus are provided. The light source device includes a substrate, an electrode layer and a surrounding frame disposed on the substrate, a light emitter and a light detector mounted on the electrode layer and located inside of the surrounding frame, and a light permeable member disposed on the surrounding frame and covering the light emitter and the light detector. When the light emitter receives a predetermined current so as to emit an invisible light toward the light permeable member, the light detector receives a reflected part of the invisible light to generate an initial photocurrent. When the light emitter receives a manipulation current so that a detection photocurrent generated from the light detector is less than a first proportion of the initial photocurrent or greater than a second proportion of the initial photocurrent, the light emitter stops receiving the manipulation current.

  • Publication number: 20200320321
Abstract: The present invention describes a device and method for touchless palmprint acquisition. The method can be applied to a terminal device (including but not limited to mobile phones, tablet computers and other portable devices) with a display screen and a front-facing camera. The camera is used to capture images of palms. The screen is used as a supplementary light source. When lighting condition in the palm area is undesirable, the screen changes its display to improve the lighting condition inside the palm, which increases the recognizability of the palmprint. The palmprint acquisition device and method described in the present invention can be directly applied to existing terminal devices without requiring any additional hardware. By adopting a variety of ways to change the display of the built-in screen of the terminal device, the lighting condition of the palm area will be improved and the recognizability of the palmprint will be increased.
