Abstract: This application provides example methods and example apparatuses for sending multicast data. One example method includes establishing, by a core network user plane network element, a plurality of data connections to a terminal. The core network user plane network element can then determine a first data connection, where the plurality of data connections include the first data connection. The core network user plane network element can then receive multicast data sent to the terminal. The core network user plane network element can then send the multicast data to an access network element through the first data connection.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a gateway handover method, a gateway reselection method, and a communications apparatus. The method includes: A source gateway determines to perform gateway handover on a terminal device; determines a target gateway that is to be used to serve the terminal device; and hands over the terminal device from the source gateway to the target gateway. According to the gateway handover method, the gateway reselection method, and the communications apparatus provided in the embodiments of this application, in a non-3GPP network architecture, when gateway handover needs to be performed on the terminal device, the source gateway of the terminal device or the terminal device may hand over the terminal device from the source gateway of the terminal device to the target gateway, to implement gateway handover in the non-3GPP network architecture.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure provide a content deployment method and a delivery controller. The content deployment method includes: receiving, by a delivery controller, a content deployment request from an application server controller, where the content deployment request includes identification information of requested content and address information of an application server storing the requested content; and sending, by the delivery controller, a first deployment cache request to a first cache server, where the first deployment cache request includes the identification information of the requested content and the address information of the application server, and the first deployment cache request is used to request the first cache server to obtain the requested content from the application server and cache the requested content. With the content deployment method and the delivery controller in the embodiments of this disclosure, content deployment under control of a content provider can be implemented.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to the communications field, and provide a network interworking method, network element, and system, to improve efficiency of interworking between a first network and a second network. The method includes: after learning that the first network requests to connect to the second network, a network interworking configuration network element sends, to each network element in a first network element set, an identifier of a network element that is in a second network element set and that is connected to the network element in the first network element set, so that each network element in the first network element set performs network interworking with the network element that is in the second network element set and that is connected to the network element in the first network element set. The present disclosure is used for network interworking.

Abstract: A positioning method includes: receiving, by a mobile location center gateway, a first positioning request for positioning a terminal device from a location service client; determining, by the mobile location center gateway, a first target public land mobile network (PLMN) based on the first positioning request, where the first target PLMN is for providing a location service for the terminal device; and sending, by the mobile location center gateway, a second positioning request to a first location management function (LMF) in the first target PLMN, where the second positioning request requests the first LMF to provide a location service for the terminal device.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a cache data control method and a device, applied to a first edge cache node. The method includes: receiving a data obtaining request sent from a terminal device, where the data obtaining request includes an identification of to-be-requested data; when the first edge cache node does not include the to-be-requested data, determining a target cache node that includes the to-be-requested data in an edge cache node set corresponding to the first edge cache node and a central cache node corresponding to the first edge cache node; and obtaining the to-be-requested data from the target cache node. This disclosure is intended to improve efficiency of feeding back data information to the terminal device.

Abstract: A signaling processing method and an apparatus relate to the field of communications technologies and include receiving, by an access and mobility management network element, control signaling from a session management network element, where the control signaling includes identification information of a protocol data unit (PDU) session of a terminal, and the PDU session is established based on a non-3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) access network, and determining, by the access and mobility management network element, whether to send a first message to the terminal using a 3GPP access network when the terminal is in an idle mode on the non-3GPP access network, where the first message is triggered by the access and mobility management network element based on the control signaling.

Abstract: A method includes determining, by a location management function (LMF) network element based on an access type of a terminal device, a positioning method for the terminal device and an access type for obtaining a positioning parameter, and sending, by the LMF network element, the positioning method and indication information to a mobility management network element, where the indication information indicates to the mobility management network element to obtain the positioning parameter using the access type.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method and a data transmission apparatus. The method includes: obtaining, by an access management network element, information about a connection status of a terminal device in a first network; and processing, by the access management network element, a data transmission procedure of the terminal device in a second network based on the information about the connection status of the terminal device in the first network. When the terminal device needs to transmit data through both the two networks, the method in the embodiments of this application can avoid a problem that the terminal device overuses a resource in either of the networks.

Abstract: A method for accessing a serving network includes: obtaining, by a user plane network element, an access message, where the access message is for a terminal accessing a serving network, and where the access message includes authentication information of the terminal in the serving network; and sending, by the user plane network element, the access message to the serving network. The method for accessing serving network and the communications apparatus that are provided in the embodiments of this application enable a terminal to access a serving network using an access network, and expand a usage scenario of the serving network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for determining location information are provided. In one aspect, a method includes: sending, by a terminal device, first location information to a first core network element via a non-third-generation partner project (non-3GPP) access network element, and receiving, by the terminal device via the non-3GPP access network element, second location information of the terminal device sent by the first core network element. The first core network element is configured to determine the second location information based on the first location information. The second location information corresponds to a 3GPP network.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a network access method, used to restrict a network access range of a terminal device, to meet a requirement for restricting the terminal device within a specified range. The method in the embodiments of this application includes: receiving, by an access management network element, information about an area accessed by a terminal device; obtaining, by the access management network element, information about an area allowed to be accessed by the terminal device; and determining, by the access management network element based on the information about the area accessed by the terminal device and the information about the area allowed to be accessed by the terminal device, whether to allow access of the terminal device.

Abstract: Example authentication methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes receiving access authentication information by an access network element from a terminal device. The access network element generates a first message based on the access authentication information, where the first message includes the access authentication information. The access network element sends the first message to an access management network element, and receives a first response message from the access management network element in response to the first message. The first response message includes response information of the access authentication information. The access network element sends the response information of the access authentication information to the terminal device based on the first response message.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a policy update method and apparatus. The method includes obtaining, by a policy control network element, updated policy information of a local area data network (LADN), and sending, by the policy control network element, the updated policy information and instruction information to an access and mobility management network element. The instruction information is used to instruct the access and mobility management network element to regionally update the updated policy information. According to the embodiments of this application, signaling overheads of the LADN in a policy update process are reduced.
