  • Patent number: 7267554
Abstract: A center processing unit (CPU) socket holds a CPU and has a base and a cushion. The base has a bottom, a contact seat, multiple contacts, a cover and a latch. The contact seat is mounted in the bottom and has a recess. The contacts are mounted in the recess in multiple lines. The cover is mounted pivotally on the base and has a latch tab. The latch has a locking tab selectively engaging the latch tab. The cushion is mounted in the recess and has multiple springs and a CPU backplate. The springs are mounted in the recess. The CPU backplate is mounted on the springs and has multiple slots corresponding to the contacts. The CPU backplate cooperates with the springs during installation of a CPU to oppose a force pushing the CPU down in the CPU socket so the contacts will not be damaged.

  • Publication number: 20070048598
Abstract: A battery seat has a base and a battery holder. The base has a cavity, a sidewall, two terminal seats, multiple mounting holes and two terminals. The cavity is defined in the battery seat and holds a disk battery. The sidewall extends up from the base around the cavity. The mounting holes are defined through the sidewall and communicate with the cavity. The battery holder is mounted detachably in the cavity of the base, securely holds the disk battery in the cavity and has two ends, two compression tabs and multiple protrusions. The compression tabs are formed respectively on the ends and extend up. The protrusions are formed on the battery holder, correspond to and are mounted detachably through the through holes in the sidewall of the base. • Publication number: 20060256556
Abstract: An electrical connector has a seat and a casing. The seat has a body, a first chamber defined in an interior of the body, two channels defined in two opposed top ends of the body, multiple Light Emitting Diodes (LED) provided in the channels, multiple terminals formed in a row and provided downwards under the LEDs, and two transparent slats mounted in front of the channels. The LEDs can be connected to a circuit board via the terminals being provided downwards. Hence, the cost of the manufacture of the LEDs is decreased because the feet of the LED are straight without being bent to connect to the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7108529
Abstract: An audio connector has an insulated case, an inner and outer contact and a slide. The insulated case has a central socket and second and first inner recesses that communicate with the central socket. The second inner recess has a guide channel. The inner contact is mounted in the first inner recess and selectively protrudes into the central socket. The outer contact is mounted in the second inner recess, and has an outer resilient contact, a resilient switch contact and a stationary switch contact. The outer resilient contact selectively protrudes into the central socket. The resilient switch contact has a distal end that aligns with the guide channel. The slide is mounted movably in the guide channel and is pressed into the central socket by the resilient switch contact. When a jack is inserted into the central socket, the slide keeps the jack from damaging the outer resilient contact.

  • Patent number: 7104827
Abstract: A center processing unit (CPU) socket holds a CPU and has a base, multiple contacting tabs and multiple contacting tab holders. The base has a bottom, a seat, a cover and a latch. The seat is mounted in the bottom and has a recess. The contacting tabs are mounted in the recess in multiple lines and each contacting tab has a curved top contact end. The contacting tab holders extend up from the recess in seat and are aligned respectively with the curved top contact ends of the contacting tabs. When a CPU is installed in the CPU socket and presses against the contacting tabs, the contacting tab holders hold the curved top contact ends of the contacting tabs to avoid the vibration of the contacting tabs due to the transmission of the high frequency signals between the CPU and the CPU socket.

  • Patent number: 7101219
Abstract: An adaptor with reflection fins has a seat and a shell. A first channel is defined in a center of the seat. Two slots are respectively defined in two opposed front ends of the body and two inclined holes are defined in an interior of the slots. Two LEDs are respectively mounted in lower ends of the slots. Two light conducting flats are respectively mounted in top ends of slots. The shell is sleeved with the seat and two openings are defined in two opposed front ends of the shell. Two reflection flats respectively have a first fin and a second fin inclined to and connected to the first fin, a first lug is mounted on the second fin, whereby the first lugs are respectively inserted into the openings. Hence, the light via the light conducting plates achieves a high reflection effect.

  • Publication number: 20060176657
Abstract: A fastener for an adapter of a laptop computer includes a lateral portion and an upright portion. The lateral portion has a finger formed at an approximate end of the lateral portion. A seat is formed at a distal end of the lateral portion and two ears are formed at two opposed ends of the seat and extend upward. The upright portion is integrally formed on the lateral portion and perpendicular to the lateral portion. The upright portion has an extending part extending between the ears of the U-like seat. A hook is formed at a distal end of the extending part. Whereby, the extending part and an arm of the adapter are blocked by the ears and cannot be bent excessively whereby the arm is prevented from being broken.

  • Publication number: 20060128227
Abstract: A modular socket with a preventer has a jack cavity, multiple pins and a preventer. The jack cavity has an open front, a top, an inner bottom, two sidewalls and a rear wall. The pins are mounted in parallel in the jack cavity on the inner bottom. The preventer is mounted in the jack cavity, is H-shaped and has a bar stop, two mounting arms and two resilient inclined tabs. The mounting arms extend back from the ends of the bar stop outside the pins and attach to the rear wall of the jack cavity. The resilient inclined tabs extend forward and down from ends of the bar stop and press against the bottom of the jack cavity. When a correctly sized modular jack is inserted into the socket, the modular jack presses the resilient inclined tabs and the bar stop down and slides into the jack cavity.

  • Publication number: 20060128208
Abstract: A battery seat has a base, a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The base has a bottom, a sidewall, a positive terminal seat, a negative terminal seat and a battery cavity. The sidewall, the positive terminal seat and the negative terminal seat are formed on the base, extend up from the base, are connected to each other and form the battery cavity. The positive terminal is mounted on the positive terminal seat. The negative terminal is mounted on the negative terminal seat. Because the sidewall, the positive terminal seat and the negative terminal seat are connected to each other and to the bottom of the base, the battery cavity is strong and robust. Even a significant crack in the sidewall will not degrade the integrity of the battery cavity, and the battery cavity will still hold a battery without letting the battery fall from the battery seat.

  • Patent number: 7037141
Abstract: A communication socket includes a body having a channel transversally defined in the body. A plug identifying member with a U shape has a shaft, and two sliding bars formed at two opposed ends of the shaft and perpendicular to the shaft. Each sliding bar has a free end with a triangular longitudinal section. Two pivot pins are respectively provided on the sliding bars and adjacent to the shaft and rotatably received in the channel. Two blocks with a shorter length than that of the sliding bars are respectively formed on interior sides of the sliding bars. Two elastic strips are respectively formed under the sliding bars and extend from the shaft. Whereby, when a plug is inserted in the socket, the elastic strips are pressed downward, and the plug identifying member will return to the original position under the force of the elastic strips.
