  • Publication number: 20060016071
Abstract: A method for attaching an IC socket connector to a circuit board has acts of fabricating IC socket connectors, installing the IC socket connectors in an IC socket, preparing the IC socket connectors for attachment to a circuit board and attaching the IC socket connector to the circuit board. The IC socket connectors are U-shaped, are punched from a metal sheet, have a closed bottom and are electroplated with a protective nickel coating. After installing the IC socket connectors in an IC socket, a recess is formed in the closed bottom of each IC socket connector in any shape. Solder balls are attached respectively to the recesses in the bottoms of the IC socket connectors. The IC socket connectors are attached to the circuit board by melting the solder ball.

  • Publication number: 20060002057
Abstract: A socket for a CPU with L.G.A includes a bottom plate and a frame. Multiple apertures are defined through the bottom plate. Multiple metal strips are respectively secured in the apertures by fasteners. Each metal strip has two deformable free ends extending upwards and downwards out from the respective aperture. Multiple supporting members are respectively formed on inner walls of the apertures and opposite to the metal strip for abutting the deformable free ends when the metal strips are pressed. The frame is securely mounted on the bottom plate and has an opening corresponding to the apertures. Edges are formed around the opening for clamping the CPU. Notches are defined at corners between the edges.

  • Patent number: 6976864
Abstract: A SIM card seat assembly has a base, an insert and a cover. The insert is pivotally connected to the base. The cover is slidably connected to the insert. A SIM card is mounted between the cover and the insert. The insert securely holds the SIM card and keeps the SIM card from releasing from the insert. The cover engages the base to securely hold the insert and the SIM card inside the SIM card seat assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050272289
Abstract: An interface card socket has a body, multiple slots, multiple protruding hooks and multiple notches. The body has a top, a bottom, two sides and a middle. The multiple slots are formed in the middle of the body and open to the top of the body. The multiple protruding hooks are formed integrally with and extend out from one side of the body. The multiple notches are formed respectively in the protruding hooks. The interface card socket will save material, time and expense during manufacturing, and the structure is strong.

  • Patent number: 6971919
Abstract: A memory card connector includes a U-like body formed with a central portion and two arms. A cover has a free end pivotally mounted on one of the arms, and an upright portion of the cover can be fastened on the other arm of the body after a memory card is received in the body. Whereby, the memory card connector is a pivot-type structure to adapt to some digital peripheral equipment with special designs.

  • Patent number: 6957984
Abstract: A modular socket for use with a modular plug includes a body having a through hole for receiving a modular plug and two opposed slots each defined in a side face of the body, an errorproof device pivotally received in the body and having two arms respectively extending out to be inserted into a corresponding one of the two slots, each arm having a step formed on an inner face of the arm for prevention of an erroneous insertion of the modular plug of a dimension smaller than a distance between the two steps, a recovery force providing device securely engaged with the errorproof device to provide a recovery force to the errorproof device when the errorproof device is pivoted and a casing securely mounted outside the body to prevent separation of the errorproof device and the recovery force providing device from the body.

  • Patent number: 6951470
Abstract: A SIM seat assembly has a base, terminals, two ejection arms and two mounting tabs. The terminals are mounted in the base and have inclined resilient contacts. The ejection arms are mounted on the base and have resilient arms. The mounting tabs are connected to the base. When a SIM card is installed in or removed from the SIM card seat assembly, the SIM card presses against the resilient contacts and presses the resilient contacts toward the base. The connect area between the resilient contacts and the chips on the SIM card are small. The chips SIM card are not able to be scratched by the terminals. Furthermore, the resilient arms push the SIM card out of the SIM card seat assembly when the SIM card is removed from the SIM card seat assembly so the SIM card can be removed without any difficulty.

  • Patent number: 6929497
Abstract: A CPU socket has a seat has multiple first apertures each with a strip. Two slots are transversally defined beside the first apertures. Two sliding blocks are respectively received in the slots. The stepped sliding blocks each have a first lug formed on a lower step, a second lug formed on an upper step, and a protrusion formed beside the second lug. A cover is movably mounted on the seat and has multiple second apertures corresponding to the first apertures. Two elongated channels are symmetrically and transversally defined through the cover and respectively corresponding to the slots. The first lugs respectively extend out from the elongated channels and are movable along the elongated channels. A notch is defined at a side of the cover adjacent the elongated slots. Two ears are respectively formed at two ends of the notch and each has a groove corresponding to the protrusions.
