Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensing device, including a protective cover to be in contact with an object, a receiving electrode module, and a substrate. The receiving electrode module includes an insulating plate, a receiving electrode layer, and a conductive circuit layer. The insulating plate can separate the receiving electrode module from the substrate. The receiving electrode layer is disposed on the insulating plate. The conductive circuit layer covers the receiving electrode layer and is separately electrically connected to the receiving electrode layer and the substrate. The sensing device in the present invention, the conductive circuit layer takes place of a conductor wire and a guard layer in a conventional sensing device, so that sensitivity of the sensing device can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20180020024
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods for protecting a web application server from non-benign web application usage. Embodiment methods may include receiving from a client device a service request message that includes information suitable for causing a web application operating on the web application server to perform one or more operations. In response, a processor, such as within the web application server or another network device, may analyze usage of the web application by the client device via a combination of a honeypot component, a sandboxed detonator component, and a Web Application Firewall (WAF) component. Analysis results may be generated by analyzing the received service request message or a server response message sent by the web application server. The analysis results may be used to identify non-benign web application usage. Actions may be taken to protect the web application server and/or the client device from the identified non-benign web application usage.

  • Publication number: 20170289445
Abstract: Various embodiments may include methods executed by processors of computing devices for geometry based work execution prioritization. The processor may receive events, such as images. The processor may overlay a boundary shape on the event to identify discard regions of the event lying outside the boundary shape. The processor may identify work regions of the events lying within the working boundary shape. The devices may determine a cancellation likelihood for each of the identified work regions of the events. The processor may assign a trimming weight to each of the identified work regions based on the determined cancellation likelihoods. The processor may then add each of the identified work regions as a work item to an execution work list in an order based on the assigned trimming weights. The work items may be processed in order of trimming weight priority.

  • Patent number: 9652811
Abstract: A regular mesh of rectangular cells (76) of uniform size is defined. The regular mesh is aligned with a non-rectangular layout boundary (18) such that a count of ones of the cells (76) having at least a prescribed fraction of their size contained within the layout boundary (18) is maximized. A layout (34) of frames (36) within the layout boundary (18) is determined based on the locations of the cells (76) with respect to the layout boundary (18), wherein the frames (36) define respective size dimensions and positions of respective views (47) of graphic objects (12) on a page (38). The views (47) of the graphic objects (12) arranged in accordance with the layout (34) of the frames (36) are outputted on the page (38).

  • Patent number: 9600930
Abstract: Methods and devices are described for optimizing display of information such as map data on a mobile device. Certain embodiments may include receiving, at a mobile device, a first and second set of placement data associated with a first and second object. The mobile device may then determine overlap between a representation of the first object and the second object in a rendering of an image comprising the representation of the first object and the second object, using a set of viewing parameters, the first set of placement data and the second set of placement data. The set of viewing parameters may be adjusted to reduce overlap between the representation of the first object and the second object in the rendering of the image. In additional embodiments, 3D enhancements to two-dimensional map objects may be added to enhance the presentation of the information.

  • Patent number: 9521143
Abstract: A gateway device may control access to content based, at least in part, on an audience that will consume the content. In relation to a request for content to be delivered to a media output device, the gateway device may obtain biometric data from one or more trait capture devices having a physical relation to the media output device. The gateway can determine the potential audience of the content and enforce content restrictions based on the audience. The content restrictions may be based on one or more content attributes about the content and one or more audience traits about the audience. The gateway may use thresholds associated with the audience trait to determine whether the content attribute is appropriate for the audience. The threshold or a combination of thresholds may provide for granular control of access to content.
