Abstract: Techniques for hierarchical encryption for data storage are disclosed, in one or more embodiments. These techniques include parsing an electronic database storage request, based on the syntax of the request, to identify a plurality of request elements and determining, using one or more trained machine learning (ML) models, one or more sensitivities associated with the plurality of request elements. The techniques further include identifying one or more encryption techniques for the plurality of request elements based on the one or more sensitivities, encrypting data associated with the database storage request using the identified one or more encryption techniques, and storing the encrypted data and one or more associated encryption keys in an electronic database, using the electronic database storage request.

Abstract: Computer technology for: (i) performing prefetching based on shard workload in NoSQL; and/or (ii) perform distribution of stored data over the various tiers of a cache memory based on shard workload in NoSQL. This can help achieve better load balance among and between the shards of a database and the respectively associated nodes on which the shards are stored.

Abstract: A workload is generated to verify a system. The generating includes parsing one or more statements of an input test case to create one or more parsed structures. A comparison is performed of at least one parsed structure of the one or more parsed structures and at least one workload structure of at least one existing workload to identify one or more workload structures as matching the at least one parsed structure. Runtime data relating to at least the one or more workload structures identified as matching is obtained. The workload is created based on at least one matching workload structure of the one or more workload structures identified as matching, the at least one parsed structure of the one or more parsed structures and the runtime data.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and/or systems are provided that perform the following operations: in a data replication environment, analyzing a database workload to generate a knowledge base of information related to compression; dividing a transfer data stream into different segments based, at least in part, on the knowledge base; obtaining candidate compression types for the transfer data stream based, at least in part, on the knowledge base; assigning respective compression types of the candidate compression types to the different segments; generating compressed segments based, at least in part, on the respective compression types assigned to the different segments; and providing the compressed segments to a replication target.

Abstract: An active cable supporting high-speed signal link training includes a first end, a second end, and a high-speed media signal line and a low-speed control signal line between the first end and the second end. The first end is configured for connecting a source end, the second end is configured for connecting a display end, the low-speed control signal line is configured for transmitting a low-speed sideband signal, the high-speed media signal line is configured for transmitting a high-speed media signal, and the second end is provided with, or the first end and the second end are respectively provided with a signal monitoring module connected with a signal line in the low-speed control signal line; and a high-speed signal adjusting module configured for receiving the link training data or the judgment result identified based on the link training data.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to updating a dynamic library. Aspects include receiving an indication that the dynamic library has been updated and identifying all program modules that depend on the dynamic library. Aspects also include, for each program module that depends on the dynamic library, reassigning an application program interface (API) address for a current version of the dynamic library to an API address of the updated version of the dynamic library.

Abstract: A database replication using heterogenous encoding is provided. Aspects include obtaining a database and analyzing a data pattern of data in the database. Aspects also include identifying a plurality of candidate encoding formats and evaluating a computing cost for encoding the database for each of the plurality of candidate encoding formats. Aspects further include selecting an encoding format from the plurality of candidate encoding formats based at least in part on the computing cost and storing a backup copy of the database using the encoding format.

Abstract: An active cable avoiding influence of RX power consumption, comprising: the host connection end, the device connection end and the data wire and the auxiliary wire located between them. The auxiliary wire consists of the main power wire and the auxiliary power wire, wherein, the main power wire is used for current transmission between the VBUS of the host and the device; the auxiliary wire, one end of it is located at the host connection end and connected with the main power wire, and another end at the device connection end and is used for supply power to the active component at the device connection end. The present invention disconnects an active module of the device connection end from the VBUS , thereby solving excessive IR-drop of VBUS; the present invention also arranges the power module between the active component and the auxiliary wire.

It is determined whether a microservice call to a microservice hosted by a computer is valid based on a policy in a proactive condition map of a validation proxy that matches the microservice call. In response to determining that the microservice call is invalid based on the policy in the proactive condition map that matches the microservice call, the microservice call is blocked to the microservice. It is determined whether the microservice call needs to be redirected to another microservice based on the policy. In response to determining that the microservice call does need to be redirected to another microservice based on the policy, the microservice call is redirected to the other microservice with a callback to the microservice.

Abstract: Software for proximity positioning that performs the following operations: (i) receiving at least one parameter via an advertising channel of a first protocol, wherein the at least one parameter is encoded in an advertising packet of the first protocol, and wherein the first protocol supports a first proximity positioning technology; (ii) extracting the encoded at least one parameter from the advertising packet; and (iii) performing, by a second proximity positioning technology different from the first proximity positioning technology, a measurement of distance based, at least in part, on the at least one parameter.

Abstract: A method, a computer program product, and a computer system intelligently install a component to a client system. The method includes performing an association analysis to generate a component association model based on historical installation information for historically installed components on one or more further client systems. The component association model includes a build success rate model indicative of at least one of the one or more further client systems having a close relationship to the client system based on a metric pair analysis of corresponding parameters in the historical installation information and installation information of the client system. The method includes determining an installation path to install the component to the client system based on the component association model. The method includes transmitting assistance information to the client system based on the installation path.

Abstract: Aspects include applying a patch to a first instance of software code and verifying that the first instance of the software code with the patch applied is operating as expected. The verifying includes sending a request to the first instance of the software code and sending the request to a second instance of the software code where the patch was previously applied. The verifying also includes comparing a first result received from the first instance of the software code in response to the request and a second result received from the second instance of the software code in response to the request. The verifying further includes determining that the first instance of the software code with the patch applied is operating as expected based on the first result being within a similarity threshold of the second result.

Abstract: An asynchronous capacitance-to-digital conversion is described that allows for very low-power operation when during inactive periods (when no conductive object is in contact or proximity to the sensing electrodes). Asynchronous operation of a capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) provides for capacitance-to-digital conversion without the use of system resources and more power intensive circuit elements.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for monitoring a scraper chain based on a measurement on transmittance of a torsion spring and a method thereof. The system includes a sprocket-wheel torsion detection device, a fixing device, a wireless receiver, an A/D converter and an industrial computer. In the method, the relative torsion of the two sprocket wheels is converted into the density change of the torsion spring, the light transmission area is converted into the current value by the laser sensing panel, a varying range of the torsion spring is calculated by the industrial computer through the preset threshold and its own program to monitor the operating conditions of the chain. The method has a novel concept, a stable and reliable system, and a high promotion value.

Abstract: Disclosed are a device switching method for a display apparatus and a display apparatus. The method includes: recognizing a first class of device of a Bluetooth device, and presenting the first class of device in a first user interface; in response to a device switch command being received within a specified time from outside, determining that the first class of device is different from an actual second class of device, updating the first class of device in the first user interface to the second class of device, and interacting with the Bluetooth device according to the second class of device; and in response to no device switch command being received within the specified time input from outside, determining that the first class of device is the same as the actual second class of device, and interacting with the Bluetooth device according to the second class of device.

Aspects include receiving, from a user, a request to associate a first text with one or more other instances of the first text and looking up the first text in a text association table. Based on determining that no entry in the text association table corresponds to the first text, aspects include creating an entry in the text association table corresponding to the first text. Aspects also include adding an address of the first text to the entry in the text association table. Based on detecting a change to one of the first text and one of the one or more other instances of the first text, aspects further include updating the first text and each of the one or more other instances of the first text that was not changed.

Abstract: Reusing containers is provided. It is communicated to a pipeline workload manager that a particular container has finished running a step of a pipeline workload using an agent daemon of the particular container. Pipeline workload information corresponding to the pipeline workload is checked using the pipeline workload manager to determine whether the particular container can be reused to run a particular step in a different pipeline workload. The particular container is provided to be reused to run the particular step in the different pipeline workload without having to perform a prepare container environment sub-step of that particular step based on determining that the particular container can be reused to run that particular step in the different pipeline workload according to the pipeline workload information.

Abstract: A processor may determine indexing information for indexing a document. The indexing information may comprise at least one index extracted from the document. The processor may identify at least one code page associated with the document. The processor may store the indexing information in association with code page information indicating the at least one code page. In response to a search query, the processor may determine a relevance degree between the document and the search query based on the indexing information and the code page information.
