Abstract: A methodology is presented for discovering and storing end-to-end associations between different types of entities in a system configuration model of a distributed middleware system. First associations are determined, at each distributed system tier, between instances of data and data-container configuration elements. Those first associations point to logical subdivision of a data service that is directly responsible for implementing an instance of data. Second associations are determined, at said each distributed system tier, between said data-container configuration elements and a server infrastructure. Said second associations point to a server infrastructure that hosts said data-container configuration elements. Third associations are composed, within said each distributed system tier, between said instances of data and said server infrastructure, using said first associations and said second associations.

Abstract: A system and method for developing and enabling model-driven extensible Markup Language (XML) transformation to XML Metadata Interchange (XMI) format incorporate a strong built-in validation capability. A platform independent framework applies multiple passes of transformation, where each pass performs specific operations on internal models. Different source models are then merged into a target model.

Abstract: A system and method for supporting offline Web browsing. A user interests profile comprising content and attribute preferences of Web pages the user may be interested in is provided. Based on that user's profile, there is generated an interestingness values value for each of candidate Web pages. From a hoard request initiated by a user, received one or more Web pages are selected and downloaded based on their respective interestingness values. These Web pages are stored for later viewing by the user when offline. The candidate Web pages include base Web pages which are supplied by the user in the hoard request, and linked Web pages which are reachable from the base pages. Thus, an interestingness value may be computed as the interestingness of a hyperlink associated with a Web page reachable from a base Web page, the interestingness value of a hyperlink being based upon the similarity of a linked Web page to the base Web page and/or to that user's interests profile.

The constraints on value-based publish/subscribe systems that publishers and subscribers must share the same event schemas are removed. With ontology support, the system conducts event correlation based on their semantics using relational operators. Event sources are searched for subscriptions and selected events are automatically correlated according to subscriptions. The system enables efficient semantic event routing by rewriting the subscription SQL statement, wherein no redundant events are generated.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for providing mutual authentication for radio frequency identification (RFID) security. Methods include receiving an authentication request at a RFID tag from a requester, where the request includes an encrypted access role. An encrypted secret message is transmitted to the requestor in response to receiving the authentication request. The encrypted secret message is based on the encrypted access role received from the requester. An access request specifying a work area and including a random number that is encrypted is received from the requester at the RFID tag. The access request was generated by the requester in response to the RFID tag being successfully authenticated by the requestor using the encrypted secret message. The requester is authenticated at the RFID tag. The authenticating includes determining the value of the random number sent by the requester and verifying that the work area is valid for the encrypted access role.

Basically, the generator converts service request to Semantic Query based on input/output parameters in the service request. The Service Query Manager interfaces with an Ontology Engine, in order to execute the semantic queries. It will pass the query results to Service Invocation Flow Generator. The Service Invocation Flow Generator creates service invocation flow definition based on query results passed from Service Query Manager. The Service Invocation Manager executes the flow definitions. It also manages a service invocation result cache, so that invocation results can be saved and reused for later service request.

Abstract: A method of pre-fetching and preparing content in an information processing system is provided. The method includes the steps of generating at least one content pre-fetching policy and at least one content preparation policy, wherein each of the policies are at least in part a function of context information associated with a user. The content is pre-fetched based on information contained within the at least one content pre-fetching policy. Once the content has been pre-fetched, it is prepared based on information contained within the at least one content preparation policy. The context information associated with the user includes at least one of the user's usage patterns, current location, future plans and preferences.
