  • Publication number: 20220199381
Abstract: A high-power pulsed surface processing system includes insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) to replicate desirable pulse structures with high precision, at low cost, and with high reliability within a single system. The pulsed surface processing system includes a power supply, an anode and a cathode, a dual gate driver supplying power to one or more IGBT gates, and one or more capacitor banks. Pulse formation software controls the timing and duration of electrical pulses to the electrodes. A freewheeling diode protects the system from an abrupt reduction of current in the circuit. The high-power pulsed surface processing system may be used to control versatile and complex pulse structures while with precise control of instantaneous pulse powers, pulse timing, and process control. The inclusion of dual gate drivers also offers the ability for multiple pulsers to be created and “slaved” together for a wide variety of custom processes.

  • Patent number: 11361843
Abstract: A system includes a plurality of nanopore cells. Data corresponding to nanopore states of the plurality of nanopore cells is received. The data is analyzed to determine a compressed output size of the data given at least one compression technique. It is determined whether the compressed output size exceeds a data budget. In the event it is determined that the compressed output size exceeds the data budget, the data is modified. The modified data is outputted.

  • Patent number: 11290889
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method, a device, and a computer-readable storage medium for allocating system resources among a plurality of network slices in a communication network. In the communication network, a network device determines utility values of two network slices. A network slice corresponds to a set of network functions of a set of services served thereby. A utility value of the network slice indicates the level of demand for system resources by the set of services associated with the network slice. The network device determines a difference between the utility values of the two network slices. If the difference exceeds a threshold utility value, the network device re-allocates system resources among the plurality of network slices in the communication network.

  • Publication number: 20220034839
Abstract: A method of analyzing a molecule in a nanopore is disclosed. A voltage is applied across a nanopore that is inserted in a membrane by coupling the nanopore to a voltage source. The nanopore is decoupled from the voltage source. After the decoupling, a rate of decay of the voltage across the nanopore is determined. A molecule in the nanopore is distinguished from other possible molecules based on the determined rate of decay of the voltage across the nanopore.
