  • Patent number: 8303178
Abstract: A temperature detecting device includes a current source, a plurality of resistors, a binary counter, a multiplexer, a comparator and a control logic. The current source provides a PTAT current. The resistors provide m voltage signals with ascending or descending voltages. The binary counter generates a binary select signal having (n+1) bits. The m voltage signals are selectively outputted from the multiplexer as a multiplexer output signal according to the binary select signal, wherein 2n<m<2n+1. The comparator is used for comparing the multiplexer output signal with a reference voltage, thereby generating a comparing signal. The control logic is for issuing the start signal. If the comparing signal has a level change, the control logic controls the binary counter to record the binary select signal as a binary temperature signal. The reference voltage does not vary with temperature.

  • Publication number: 20120039090
Abstract: A surface light source device and a display apparatus using the same are provided. The surface light source device includes a light guide plate, a light source assembly, and at least one protecting frame. The light guide plate has a light incident surface. The light source assembly includes a substrate and a plurality of point light sources disposed on the substrate. A light emitting surface of each point light source faces the light incident surface of the light guide plate. The protecting frame is disposed on the substrate and surrounds at least a part of the point light sources. A distance between a top surface of the protecting frame facing the light incident surface and the substrate is larger than a distance between the light emitting surface of each point light source and the substrate. The surface light source device and the display apparatus have better light utilization efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7356378
Abstract: In one aspect a factory automation system for a wafer fab is provided. The factory automation system comprises: a manufacturing execution system (“MES”) for providing lot information; a material control system (“MCS”) for providing dynamic traffic information; an automated material handling system (“AMHS”) for providing static route information; and a real-time dispatching (“RTD”) system to select a destination and a route for a wafer carrier in response to a transfer request. In another aspect a method of transferring a wafer lot within a wafer fabrication facility (“fab”) using a factory automation system is provided. The method comprises: receiving a transfer request to move the wafer lot from a first position to a second position within the fab; obtaining lot information, dynamic traffic information, and static traffic information; using the information to select a route between the first position and the second position; and executing the transfer using the selected route.

  • Patent number: 6239841
Abstract: A clamp for fixing a small electronic device on an upper end of a rectangular panel. The upper end of the panel has a horizontal top end, a front edge and a rear edge, the front and rear edges being perpendicular to the top end of the panel. The clamp includes an L-shaped assembly, an elastic module, and a base. A vertical side at the front of the L-shaped assembly engages the top end and the front edge of the panel. An elastic module fixed at a rear end of the L-shaped assembly has an arc-shaped plate bending towards the rear edge of the panel so that the L-shaped assembly will attach tightly to the top end and the front edge of the panel. The base is fixed on the L-shaped assembly and is used to fix the small electronic device. When mounting the clamp to the upper end of the panel, the upper end of the panel will slip across the arc-shaped plate and be clamped between the arc-shaped plate and the L-shaped assembly of the clamp.

  • Patent number: 5877615
Abstract: A circuit and a method for generating modified reference voltages are provided. The reference voltages are modified dependent upon the level of electrical signals received. A series of electrical signals is provided to a reference voltage adjuster. The reference voltage adjuster stores a signal representing either a previous maximum or minimum signal value, and also stores a signal representing a present signal from the series of electrical signals. The reference voltage adjuster then determines the existence of a new maximum or minimum signal value. Upon the determination of the existence of a new maximum or minimum signal value, the average of the new maximum or minimum signal and the previous maximum or minimum signal value is determined. The signal representing the average of the new maximum or minimum signal and the previous maximum or minimum signal value is then provided to a comparator as the new reference voltage.
