Techniques described herein support transmission of a transport block over multiple slots (TBoMS) with subband full duplex (SBFD) operation. For example, if a time domain resource allocation for a TBoMS includes both uplink slots and downlink slots configured with an uplink subband, a user equipment (UE) may determine which slots to use in accordance with a scheme for selecting available slots for the TBoMS from indicated candidate slots, and the UE may determine the transport block size based on the selected slots. In some examples, the UE may first determine the quantity of resource elements available in each of the different slot types, and then may determine the transport block size based on the quantity of resource elements available in each of the different slot types and the quantity of each of the different slot types.

A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, an indication of one or more parameters associated with a reference signal that is to be transmitted by the first wireless device. The one or more parameters may be encoded separately from the remainder of the control message using a secret key that is known to both the second wireless device and the first wireless device. The first wireless device may then decode the one or more parameters using the secret key, and may transmit the associated reference signal to the second wireless device based on decoding the parameters using the secret key.

    Abstract: Fallback procedures for user equipments (UEs) are described that provide efficient fallback to a four-step random access procedure from a two-step random access procedure. For example, after transmitting a first message of a two-step random access procedure, a UE may start a fallback timer or counter and monitor for a second message of the two-step random access procedure for the duration of the fallback timer or counter. At the expiration of the fallback timer or counter, the UE may fall back to a four-step random access procedure. In some cases, the UE may transmit multiple repetitions of the first message and monitor for responses after transmitting the repetitions or after each repetition. Additionally, or alternatively, the base station may transmit an explicit signal to the UE that may signal to the UE to perform a fallback procedure at a beginning or middle of a random access procedure.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a base station to provide RACH configuration(s) indicating RACH occasions which correspond to wake up occasions of a base station according to a power savings mode of the base station. The base station sends one or more RACH configurations indicating ROs to a UE, and then monitors the ROs associated with the power savings mode. The UE determines the ROs associated with the power savings mode, and sends a wake up signal to the base station in at least one of the determined ROs. The base station obtains the wake up signal from the UE in at least one of the monitored ROs. Here, the wake up signal comprises a RACH message. As a result, network power consumption may be optimized through designed configurations which allow a UE to wake up a sleeping base station via a RACH message.
