  • Patent number: 12068985
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (HE) may support beam management to determine beams for communicating with a base station, measure characteristics of the beams, and periodically report the measurements to the base station. The beam management may include a beam failure recovery procedure, where the UE detects and resolves a beam failure with the base station. Additionally, the UE may perform radio link monitoring (RLM) on a set of reference signals configured by the base station to determine if a radio link (e.g, beamformed transmission) is synchronized or not between the UE and base station. In some cases, these RLM reference signals (RLM-RSs) may be reconfigured, where the reconfiguration may be based on the periodic beam measurement reports for beam management, a beam monitoring event trigger, a beam failure recovery, or a combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 12069683
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may dynamically and reliably indicate that pending transmissions are part of a full duplex operation via downlink control information (DCI) designs described herein. For example, a base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE) a DCI including no more than one downlink grant and no more than one uplink grant for a full duplex operation. In some examples, the base station may transmit a first-stage DCI including partial information, and second-stage DCIs including full uplink and downlink grants for a full duplex operation. In some examples, the base station may configure periodic or semi-periodic uplink and downlink resources that may overlap in time, and may dynamically indicate, to the UE, whether the overlapping uplink and downlink resources are scheduled for a full duplex operation.

  • Publication number: 20240275455
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some examples, the described techniques can be used to perform beam management procedures using a selected configuration of a plurality of configurations, which enables adaptation to changing numbers of channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources. Adapting to changing numbers of CSI-RS resources may enable the network to perform dynamic antenna adaptation, thereby changing the number of active spatial elements used to transmit the CSI-RS resources. Furthermore, signaling the selected configuration enables the network node to change the number of CSI-RS resources at a user equipment (UE) without explicitly reconfiguring the CSI-RS resource set.

  • Publication number: 20240267155
Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a UE configured with PUCCH repetitions to determine, in response to an indication from a base station to switch carriers for PUCCH repetitions, which CCs of a PUCCH group are configured for PUCCH repetitions, when CCs are configured for PUCCH repetitions, what resources in CCs are configured for PUCCH repetitions, and/or how to count PUCCH repetitions in configured CCs. For instance, the UE may receive a RRC-configured time pattern from a base station for switching between CCs of a PUCCH group for PUCCH transmissions, determine a time pattern of the CCs for the PUCCH transmissions from the RRC-configured time pattern, and transmit the PUCCH transmissions in the CCs according to the time pattern. The UE may also determine a subset of the CCs for the PUCCH transmissions, a resource allocation for each of the PUCCH transmissions, or a count for each of the PUCCH transmissions.

  • Publication number: 20240267844
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first signaling, and may transmit a first wake-up signal (WUS) based on information associated with a channel, where the information may be determined based on receiving the first signaling. The UE may monitor one or more channels, during a duration, for one or more signals based on transmitting the first WUS. If the UE fails to receive the one or more signals via the one or more channels during the duration, the UE may transmit a second WUS after the duration. The UE may communicate second signaling with a network entity based on transmitting the first WUS based on the information and successfully receiving the one or more signals, or based on transmitting the second WUS after the duration and successfully receiving one or more additional signals.

  • Publication number: 20240267952
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first network node may transmit, to a second network node, first information that is indicative of a bandwidth capability of the first network node and a first random access message. The second network node may transmit a second random access message in response to the first random access message and via a quantity of physical resource blocks (PRBs). The second random access message may indicate a time period for transmission, by the first network node, of a third random access message responsive to the second random access message. The time period may be based on a threshold time period associated with the bandwidth capability of the first network node, and the threshold time period may be based on the quantity of PRBs via which the second random access message is transmitted.
