  • Patent number: 11506493
Abstract: An angular rate sensor. The sensor includes a Coriolis vibratory gyroscope (CVG) resonator, configured to oscillate in a first normal mode and in a second normal mode; a frequency reference configured to generate a reference signal; and a first phase control circuit. The first phase control circuit is configured to: measure a first phase difference between: a first phase target, and the difference between: a phase of an oscillation of the first normal mode and a phase of the reference signal. The first phase control circuit is further configured to apply a first phase correction signal to the CVG resonator, to reduce the first phase difference. A second phase control circuit is similarly configured to apply a second phase correction signal to the CVG resonator, to reduce a corresponding, second phase difference.

  • Publication number: 20220341369
Abstract: The present invention provides a closed-loop control method for an electronic fuel injection piston-engine on an unmanned aircraft consisting of the following steps: determination of a set of control coefficients; preliminary determination of fuel injection flow; determination of the injection limit; determination of the actual injectable value; perform fuel injection; the opening of the air intake valve is controlled to ensure that the fuel-air ratio always remains within a specified range. The present invention also provides a method for modeling the operation of an engine at each operating range. In addition, the method of physically simulating the operating conditions according to the pressure ranges of the engine is also proposed. The simulation method to find the control coefficients corresponding to each operating model of the engine is presented, the fuel injection closed-loop control structure is built on a control simulation software.

  • Publication number: 20220313431
Abstract: A heart valve prosthesis is provided having a self-expanding multi-level frame that supports a valve body comprising a skirt and plurality of coapting leaflets. The frame transitions between a contracted delivery configuration that enables percutaneous transluminal delivery, and an expanded deployed configuration having an asymmetric hourglass shape. The valve body skirt and leaflets are constructed so that the center of coaptation may be selected to reduce horizontal forces applied to the commissures of the valve, and to efficiently distribute and transmit forces along the leaflets and to the frame. Alternatively, the valve body may be used as a surgically implantable replacement valve prosthesis.

  • Publication number: 20220296949
Abstract: The present invention relates to a carbon-based material for use in a piece of personal protective equipment and an air filtration system. The carbon-based material may function as a filter by providing a tortuous path for a pathogen to traverse. The carbon-based material may be used as a carbon-based heater that can reach a pathogen inactivation threshold temperature to enable heat inactivation of one or more pathogens. In embodiments where a piece of personal protective equipment includes a carbon-based heater, an insulating layer may be included to attenuate the temperature generated by the carbon-based heater from the face of a user.

  • Publication number: 20220260627
Abstract: A field effect transistor (FET) engager, for example, includes electrically coupling a gate driver to a gate of a FET for testing the FET. The FET engager further includes providing a probe pad for test instrument measurement of the FET without test instrument capacitance impacting operation of the FET. The FET engager can electrically couple to the gate of the FET hold the gate of the FET at a low voltage while the source and drains are stress tested. The FET engager provides fail-safe mechanisms against accidental turn-on of the FET during operation. The FET engager can provide a second probe pad for selective test instrument turn-on of a second FET. The FET engager can allow test instrument measurement of gate current of the FET without test instrument capacitance impacting operation of the FET.

  • Patent number: 11394202
Abstract: Methods and apparatus can be used to turn an existing 240 VAC or 480 VAC/600 VAC outlet into two or more time-sharing, i.e., one operating at a time, outlets. An AC switch box with two time-sharing outlets can be made with either a mechanical switch for switching which load receives power, or automatically, by a microcomputer system, for example. In the automatic AC switch box, the non-favored outlet may be typically powered on unless a load is detected at the favored/default outlet, when power to the non-favored outlet is automatically disconnected until the load is reduced or eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20220209885
Abstract: In order to avoid various jamming attacks from intelligent jammers in modern complex wireless environments, a system and method is presented for a user radio to generate and implement an adaptive anti-jamming communication strategy. The said adaptive anti-jamming communication strategy is obtained via the training process for a specific neural network using Deep Double-Q Reinforcement learning algorithm in the strategy generation phase. The objective of this process is to discover a strategy to select the optimal radio action including transmission channel and transmission power for the user radio, which is changed adaptively to different jamming patterns to maximize the successful transmission rate (“jamming-free”) while retaining the power consumption of user radio as low as possible.

  • Patent number: 11364901
Abstract: A driving support apparatus according to the invention estimates the position of a moving body by controlling a position estimation unit when the tracking-target moving body leaves a first area or a second area to enter a blind spot area and detects the position of the moving body by controlling a position detection unit when the moving body leaves the blind spot area to enter the first area or the second area. In this manner, the trajectory of the tracking-target moving body is calculated so that the trajectory of the moving body detected in the first area or the second area and the trajectory of the moving body estimated in the blind spot area are continuous to each other and driving support is executed based on the calculated trajectory of the tracking-target moving body.

  • Publication number: 20220150163
Abstract: Techniques configure a network to relay data from a node to a root device are described herein. In an example, one-hop neighbors of the node are determined and ranked according to link quality. The ranked neighbor nodes may be considered potential “parent nodes” of the node. The ranked nodes may be divided into a plurality of groups according to link quality. A parent node may be selected from among the “best” group of one-hop neighbor nodes and may be used to relay data for the node to and/or from the router or other device. The node continues to use the parent node at least until its ranking removes it from the best group or falls below a threshold value. After the ranking of the parent falls below such a prescribed threshold it may be replaced by selection of a replacement parent from the group of one-hop upstream neighbors having the best link quality.

  • Patent number: 11290295
Abstract: Techniques for bridging communication between multiple networks to facilitate distribution of multicast data are described herein. For example, a node that is able to communicate with its network and an adjacent network may send a subscription message indicating that the node is a member of a multicast group. The subscription message may be forwarded up both networks. The node may then forward, between the networks, data that is destined for members of the multicast group.

  • Publication number: 20220083603
Abstract: A question and answer (Q&A) system is enhanced to support natural language queries into any document format regardless of where the underlying documents are stored. The Q&A system may be implemented “as-a-service,” e.g., a network-accessible information retrieval platform. Preferably, the techniques herein enable a user to quickly and reliably locate a document, page, chart, or data point that he or she is looking for across many different datasets. This provides for a unified view of all of the user's (or, more generally, an enterprise's) information assets (such as Adobe® PDFs, Microsoft® Word documents, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, Google Docs, scanned materials, etc.), and to be able to deeply search all of these sources for the right document, page, sheet, chart, or even answer to a question.
