The UE may determine a grant for performing uplink transmissions based on a radio resource control (RRC) message. The UE may determine, based on the downlink configuration, the grant, or both, an uplink configuration including a set of resources for transmitting the uplink transmissions at a set of uplink transmission occasions. In some aspects, the set of uplink transmission occasions may be arranged according to a non-uniform spacing pattern in a time domain. In one example, a UE initiates a random access procedure with a base station, and receives a random access response (RAR) message from the base station in response to the initiating of the random access procedure. The UE further determines a redundancy version (RV) pattern comprising a sequence of a plurality of RVs. The UE also transmits an uplink (UL) communication to the base station as part of the random access procedure. The UL communication comprises a plurality of repetitions of a UL message, each repetition being an iteration of the UL message that is configured by applying a respective RV of the plurality of RVs to the UL message based on the sequence. The UE further receives a downlink message from the base station based on the UL message. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

The UE then transmits, based at least in part on the power control configuration, the PUCCH to the base station on the selected uplink SCC. Closed-loop and open-loop power control examples are provided.     Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to dynamically triggering aperiodic CSI reporting are disclosed. A UE may determine whether a condition is satisfied for triggering upon receipt of a signal from a BS. The condition may be based on a decoding status of the signal. In some examples, the UE may explicitly request a CSI resource signal (e.g., CSI-RS, CSI-IM, or both) from the BS when the condition is met. The explicit request may be included in a modified ACK/NACK field, regardless of whether an ACK or NACK is transmitted. The BS may respond with a CSI resource signal. In other examples, the BS may wait to respond with a CSI resource signal until a threshold number of requests are received from the UE. In other examples, the BS may track a number of NACKs from the UE instead of relying upon an explicit request.

The PDCCH may include a total downlink assignment index (DAI) and a counter DAI for hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback of the PDSCH. The total DAI may indicate a total number of pairs of CCs and slots for the HARQ-ACK feedback. The UE may encode the HARQ-ACK feedback to include a bit that indicates whether the PDSCH is successfully decoded. A size of the HARQ-ACK feedback may be based on the total DAI, and a position of the bit may be based on the counter DAI.

Once the UE determines it has received information sufficient to reproduce the video frame, the UE may enter a second power state, different from the first power state, for a predetermined amount of time.     Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques, methods, devices, systems, and non-transitory computer readable medium for generating codebooks for reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) s. For example, a RIS controller generates a codebook for a RIS by computing weights using a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) function or a fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) function, based on reference signals (RSs) transmitted by a transmitter. The weights correspond to the RIS elements or a subset of the RIS elements. In some aspects, the computation of the weights may include oversampling factors that allow for a higher resolution of the weights and improved search for an optimal precoding setting. Different sets of weights may be used for different incoming beams. The RIS controller may be trained with a pair of transmitter and a receiver to identify/generate the codebook for an optimized set of weights under specific situations.
