    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating multiplexing of downlink grant-triggered aperiodic channel state information reports on an uplink control channel are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a UE includes receiving scheduling to provide multiple A-CSI reports while foregoing A-CSI multiplexing, the scheduling for up to two A-CSI reports in a same slot for the UE, and the multiple A-CSI reports being non-overlapping in time in the same slot. The example method also includes transmitting the multiple A-CSI reports to a base station in respective PUCCH in the same slot and while foregoing CSI multiplexing.

An example method of wireless communications performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station in a first subband, a resource allocation indicating a set of transmission tones comprising a set of first data tones, a set of second data tones and a set of peak reduction tones (PRTs). The resource allocation can indicate the set of first data tones overlaps at least a portion of the set of PRTs at respective locations of a set of PRT locations and the set of second data tones is arranged at a set of data tone locations within a particular bandwidth. The UE can communicate, with the base station in a second subband, a data transmission using an outgoing waveform based at least in part on the resource allocation.

Generally, the described techniques provide for performing initial access procedures including transmitting or receiving synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) based on a capability of a user equipment (UE) to use reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). In some examples, a base station may transmit SSBs using two synchronization raster grids. For example, the base station may transmit SSBs on a first synchronization raster grid for UEs that do not support RISs and on a second synchronization raster grid for UEs that support RISs. In some examples, a base station may transmit different types of SSBs. For example, a base station may transmit a first type of SSB for UEs that do not support RISs and a second type of SSB for UEs that support RISs. A UE may search for and receive SSBs according to a capability of the UE.

The SSB includes synchronization signals and a PBCH. The method includes monitoring, by the UE, a second set of time and frequency resources allocated to the PBCH for UEs configured for reduced bandwidth operation. The method includes receiving, by the UE, the synchronization signals and the PBCH within at least the subset of the first set of time and frequency resources and the second set of time and frequency resources. The UE received a control information indicating a reference signal (RS) mode for a non-coherent transmission of an UCI to the base station. The UE in the RS mode may map an RS according to an RS pattern and the UCI into resource elements assigned for a PUCCH to transmit the UCI and transmit an uplink control signal including the RS and the UCI to the base station over the PUCCH. The UE may determine a RS pattern and puncture the resource elements mapped with the code point of the UCI that corresponds to the RS pattern and map the RS based on the RS pattern. The UE may map the RS based on the RS pattern and map the code point by rate matching around the resource into which the RS is mapped.
