  • Patent number: 9188500
Abstract: A fault indicator for indicating the occurrence of a rapid pressure surge within a housing of an electrical device has: a barrel capable of being mounted in an aperture of the housing; an actuating mechanism having a chamber with at least one orifice communicating between interior and exterior surfaces of the chamber within the housing and an actuating member movable in response to a pressure differential between the interior and exterior surfaces of the chamber; a plunger within the bore of the barrel biased outwardly in the barrel and normally retained in an armed position by the actuating member; and a radial seal disposed between the plunger and the barrel. When the pressure differential exceeds a positive threshold value, the actuating member is moved and thereby permits the plunger to move outwardly into a triggered position. The radial seal may be a dual-lip seal.

  • Publication number: 20080252559
Abstract: A method for driving a plasma display in which a light emitting state of a plurality of discharge cells of a row electrode is determined in an nth subfield, a line load ratio of the row electrode in the nth subfield is calculated based on the light emitting state, and an output estimation weight of the nth subfield is calculated. Gray levels of the subfields are updated by using the calculated output estimation weight of the nth subfield. Subsequently, the light emitting state of the discharge cells of the row electrode is determined in an (n?1)th subfield by using an initial set weight of the (n?1)th subfield to express the updated gray level, and the line load ratio of the row electrode in the (n?1)th subfield is calculated to determine the output of the (n?1)th subfield. The gray levels for the (n?2)th subfields are updated using the updated output estimation weight.

  • Patent number: 6243173
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for correcting an alignment error of a scanning head of a shuttle type scanner capable of compensating an error occurred in a manufacturing process of a product or the alignment error generated by an impact applied in use. When an alignment error correction mode is selected at a preset time, the scanning head is moved to a position facing a correcting pattern formed on a correction plate. The correcting pattern is scanned through the scanning head and the alignment error is calculated from the scanned pattern image data using a predetermined operation function. After performing a first correction to the calculated alignment error by moving first and last pixels of the image data, a second correction to the alignment error is performed by applying a preset correction function to remaining pixels excluding the first and last pixels. As a result, unnecessary operations occurred in correcting the alignment error mechanically are removed, thereby increasing the productivity.
