Abstract: Provided are an audio encoding method and apparatus and an audio decoding method and apparatus in which audio signals can be encoded or decoded so that sound images can be localized at any desired position for each object audio signal. The audio decoding method includes extracting a downmix signal and object-based side information from an input audio signal; generating rendering information based on input control data; and generating spatial information based on the rendering information and the object-based side information.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a logo display device for a computer and the method thereof which allows a user to optionally select and display a logo image of a system's basic input output system (BIOS). The present invention comprises: an image exchange tool for changing numerous graphic images made by a user into logo images, respectively; a storage medium for storing the numerous logo images changed by means of the image exchange tool; a basic input output system read only memory (BIOS ROM) for storing default logo images; a logo image selection unit for enabling a user to optionally select a logo image among the logo images stored in the read only memory (ROM) and the storage medium; and a display unit for displaying the logo image selected optionally by the user.

Abstract: A computer system having a control system for controlling a VGA module built in the motherboard is disclosed. The operation of the internal video module is dependent on the existence of an add-on video card mounted in an expansion slot of the computer system. The control system for enabling and disabling the internal video adapter module includes an IDSEL (device identification signal line) signal masking and unmasking circuit provided at the IDSEL signal line placed between the internal video adapter module and a system bus, wherein the masking and unmasking of the IDSEL signal are responsive to a control signal fed from the computer system; and a system BIOS outputting the control signal supplied with the IDSEL signal masking and unmasking circuit through a general purpose input/output module, wherein the output of the control signal is dependent on the existence of an add-on video card mounted in an expansion slot.
