  • Publication number: 20100196370
Abstract: The present invention relates to an LK8-Fc fusion protein, which has increased angiogenesis inhibitory activity and in vivo stability. More specifically, relates to an LK8-Fc fusion protein in which an LK8 protein having angiogenesis inhibitory activity is fused with the Fc region of human immunoglobulin IgG1, as well as a composition for treating cancer, which contains the fusion protein. The LK8-Fc fusion protein has not only angiogenesis inhibitory activity leading to anticancer and metastasis inhibitory activities, but also a very long in vivo half-life, and thus can be used as a more efficient and economic cancer therapeutic agent or cancer inhibitor.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention may provide a PET-MRI hybrid system capable of arranging a PET apparatus and an MRI apparatus in a line. An MRI room containing the MRI apparatus and a PET room containing the PET apparatus are provided at either side of a central waiting room as opposed to each other about the waiting room. A rail portion linearly extends from the PET room to the waiting room on their bottoms. Another rail portion linearly extends on the bottom of the MRI room. A transfer unit, which supports a subject lying thereon, travels along the rail portions of the waiting room, the MRI room and the PET room. A bridge unit is provided between the rail portion of the waiting room and the rail portion of the MRI room. The bridge unit provides a space for opening and closing a shield door of the MRI room and allows the transfer unit to be reciprocated between the waiting room and the MRI room by selectively connecting the rail portion of the waiting room and the rail portion of the MRI room.

  • Publication number: 20070116243
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of dual Acess Terminal (AT) information of an Overhead Manager (OHM) in an Evolution Data Only (EVDO) control system. The method of the present invention allows both an active OHM and a standby OHM to manage OHM Mobile Terminal (OHMMT) information, such as Radio Link Protocol (RLP) and Signaling Manager (RSM) resource information allocated for each call requested by a terminal, Random Access Terminal ID (RATI) information, Unicast Access Terminal ID (UATI) information allowed when the terminal requests a call, and object addresses connected to a Selector Function (SF) allocated to the terminal that requests a call. Under dualization, terminal call information between the active OHM and the standby OHM coincide and terminal call information is sent from the active OHM to the standby OHM when the standby OHM restarts.

  • Patent number: 6692735
Abstract: The present invention relates to a variant of Lkn-1(shLkn-1) with enhanced biological activity, which is a truncated form of Lkn-1, a process for preparing a recombinant shLkn-1 by employing expression vector therefor and pharmaceutical application of the said protein. shLkn-1 is generated by missing 26 amino acid residues from the amino terminus of Lkn-1 to contain 66 amino acids. Recombinant shLkn-1 inhibits colony formation and cell proliferation in vivo, which suggests that it can be used as a potential drug for the antibody production, the treatment during HIV-1 infection, the protection of bone marrow stem cells during chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and the inhibition of leukemia.

  • Patent number: 6090455
Abstract: A method for forming SBT ferroelectric thin film. Sr(C.sub.5 F.sub.6 HO.sub.2).sub.2, Bi(C.sub.6 H.sub.5).sub.3 and Ta(C.sub.2 H.sub.5 O).sub.5 are used as the precursors of Sr, Bi and Ta and bubbled at a temperature of 110-130.degree. C., 140-160.degree. C., and 120-140.degree. C., respectively. The deposition of the precursors on a substrate is carried out at 500-550.degree. C. in plasma by using an RF power of 100-150 W. Having a residual polarity (Pr) of 15 .mu.C/cm.sup.2 or higher and a coercive electric field (Ec) of 50 kV/cm or less and, the SBT ferroelectric thin film does not show a fatigue phenomenon until 1.times.10.sup.11 cycles as measured under 6V bipolar square pulse in the structure comprising Pt upper and lower electrodes and thus, can be applied for non-volatile memory devices.

  • Patent number: 5843789
Abstract: Improved porous materials useful in blotting analyses of proteinaceous and genomic matter are prepared by treating porous substrates with a gas plasma containing at least one monomer. Thus, a porous sheet-like substrate is modified by means of a deposit of a plasma polymerizate on at least one of its surfaces, whereby this modified surface exhibits reduced nonspecific binding of chemical probes in a blotting analysis. By means of a controlled deposition of the plasma polymer at a plasma composite parameter W/FM of less than 1.0.times.10.sup.9 Joules/kilogram, improved porous materials are obtained having increased signal-to-background ratios and enhanced sensitivities in genomic analyses.
