  • Patent number: 7944257
Abstract: A phase-locked loop charge pump driven by low voltage input is disclosed. In one aspect, a charge pump for a phase-locked loop circuit includes a sourcing current source providing a sourcing current, wherein the sourcing current source is coupled to a high-voltage operating voltage supply. A sourcing control circuit uses low-voltage sourcing control signals to selectively cause the charge pump to source the sourcing current to an output of the charge pump. A sinking control circuit uses low-voltage sinking control signals at a low voltage and utilizes a low-swing current mechanism to sink the sinking current from the output of the charge pump. In another aspect, the sourcing control circuit is cascode and the sinking circuit is non-cascode. In another aspect the sourcing current source and the sinking current source are both cascode. In another aspect, the sourcing current source is non-cascode and the sinking current source is cascode.

  • Publication number: 20110106599
Abstract: Various embodiments, including systems and methods, are described for providing digital coupons to third party network sites. In one representative embodiment, a computing device is provided, where a plurality of digital coupons are maintained in a memory associated with the computing device. Each digital coupon is directed to the purchase of at least one item through an electronic commerce system. A coupon service is implemented in the computing device that is configured to identify at least one of the digital coupons to present on a third party network site in response to a request for at least one of the digital coupons received from the third party network site based at least in part upon information contained in the request. The identified digital coupons are then sent to the third party network site.

  • Publication number: 20110084790
Abstract: A neutral-grounded structure and a method for delta-connected windings are provided. The delta-connected windings include a first phase winding, a second phase winding, and a third phase winding. A grounding winding is disposed on at least one of the phase windings. The first end of the grounding winding is connected to a grounded point which is utilized as a neutral point. The second end of the grounding winding is connected to a tap of one of the other two phase windings. The voltage phase displacement between the grounding winding and the phase winding corresponding to the grounding winding is 180 degrees. According to the above-mentioned neutral-grounded structure, all the three phase-to-ground voltages are the same when the three phase voltages are balanced. Accordingly, the present invention can solve correlated problems due to differences of the three phase-to-ground voltages of delta-connected windings with conventional grounding methods.

  • Patent number: 7917483
Abstract: A search engine and a method achieve timeliness of documents returned in a search result by a relevancy feedback mechanism driven by the frequency in which a URL is returned in recent searches. The relevancy feedback mechanism includes one or more random processes which determine whether or not a cached or indexed web page associated with a URL in the search result should be refreshed. In addition, the random processes also determine whether or not hyperlinks in the cached or indexed web page should be followed to access related web pages. Accesses of web pages resulting from the operations of the random processes are used to update any document index maintained by the search engine. Relevancy scoring functions implemented in look-up tables are also disclosed. A more accurate relevancy scoring function is achieved using a lexicon based on anchortexts of extracted hyperlinks of web documents.

  • Patent number: 7911798
Abstract: A memory heat sink device having an enlarged heat dissipating area is provided. The memory heat sink device includes two cooling fins that are respectively attached to a front side and a back side of a memory. Raised dots are protruded from a front (or back) side of the cooling fin attached to the front (or back) side of the memory. Each of the raised dots on the cooling fin has at least one sectional area and at least one connection portion. Thus, the heat sink area of the cooling fin increases and heat generated by the memory is easily dissipated by the sectional area through thermal convection.

  • Patent number: 7705566
Abstract: A charger device is configured with electric conducting devices corresponding to electric conducting contact points of a battery. The electric conducting contact points are correspondingly associated with the charger device, a detector device and an automatic switching device. When the charger device is connected to the battery, the detector device determines size of charge current, and when the detector device determines that the charge current has not reached a set value, then the automatic switching device switches a normal charge mode to a boosting charge mode. The detector device stops the charger device from charging if the battery has already been charged for a predetermined time but has not reached a set value, and a display device displays that an abnormal state has occurred, thereby enabling the charger device to achieve the objective of providing good charging effectiveness and functionality to detect abnormalities when connecting to a battery.

  • Patent number: 7685558
Abstract: A method for detection and scoring of hotspots in a design layout is provided. A plurality of indices is derived for a plurality of positions in the design layout. The plurality of indices comprises a first index sensitive to energy exposure of the design layout, a second index sensitive to process image formation, and a third index sensitive to mask manufacturing error. The plurality of indices is then analyzed to identify at least one hotspot in the design layout. The at least one hotspot is then prioritized using an integrated hotspot scoring system. The integrated hotspot scoring system prioritizes hotspots based on a look-up table approach or an interpolation approach.
