  • Patent number: 10436271
Abstract: An apparatus for indicating air disc brake pad wear includes a housing having a proximate end and a distal end; wherein a first opening is located at the proximate end. The housing receives a first rigid member having a proximate end and a distal end and partially contained in the housing, the first rigid member distal end extending from the distal end of the housing and configured to attach to an associated inboard disk brake pad assembly. The first rigid member moves linearly in response to the movement of the associated disc brake pad such that the proximate end of the first rigid member as seen through the first opening recedes as the associated disc brake pad wears. The housing may also receive a second rigid member configured to attach to a carrier of the air disc brake assembly for determining wear on an outboard disc brake pad.

  • Publication number: 20190285272
Abstract: An inlet assembly for a burner includes an inlet nozzle defining an inlet aperture, a non-circular outlet aperture, and a nozzle bore extending along a longitudinal axis between the inlet aperture and the outlet aperture for conveying an effluent gas stream from the inlet aperture to the outlet aperture for delivery to the combustion chamber of the burner. The nozzle bore extends from the inlet aperture to the non-circular outlet aperture. A baffle couples the inlet portion with the outlet portion, and defines a baffle aperture positioned within the nozzle bore. The baffle aperture has a reduced cross-sectional area compared to that of the outlet portion adjacent the baffle. A secondary gas stream nozzle provides a secondary gas stream. The secondary gas stream nozzle being positioned to mix the secondary gas stream with the effluent gas stream within the nozzle bore.

  • Publication number: 20190277393
Abstract: A modular gearbox assembly for a wind turbine having improved up-tower serviceability includes a low-speed gear stage module, a separate, intermediate-speed gear stage module adjacent to the low-speed gear stage module, and a separate high-speed gear stage module adjacent to the intermediate-speed gear stage module. The gearbox assembly also includes a first flange removably connecting the intermediate and high-speed gear stage modules and a second flange removably connecting the intermediate and low-speed gear stage modules. Thus, the low-speed gear stage module converts a low-speed, high torque input from a rotor shaft of the wind turbine to a high-speed, low torque output for a generator of the wind turbine via the intermediate and high-speed gear stage modules. In addition, the first and second flanges allow for easy disassembly of the gear stage modules such that the various stages can be easily repaired, replaced, and/or inspected.

  • Publication number: 20190228378
Abstract: One goal of the disclosed embodiments is to improve user engagement, e.g. increasing the number of documents from a group of documents that are read, reviewed, and/or modified. Patterns of inaction are identified based on user inactivity, both in comparison to a group that has received the same group of documents, and as an individual who has received a request regarding a document from another user. When a user crosses a threshold of inactivity, attempts to engage with specific documents are initiated. In one embodiment, promoting content includes displaying links to content in novel ways, including adding links to promoted content to existing content lists located in existing application software, such as a recently opened file list, or adding promoted content in places where a user is likely to see the recommendation while completing a previous task, such as at the bottom of a word processing document.
