  • Patent number: 12280477
Abstract: Presented are ramp lock extractor (RLE) lift tools for disassembling multipart assemblies, methods for making/using such lift tools, and vehicles with multipart assembly modules disassembled by such lift tools. A method of separating first and second component bodies joined together via an adhesive includes aligning an RLE lift tool with an RLE key slot that extends through the first component body. The lift tool includes multiple ramp pins projecting outward from lateral sides of a tool stem. The key slot includes multiple helical ramps located on lateral sides of a through-hole. The lift tool inserts into the key slot until a distal tip of the tool stem abuts the second component body. The lift tool rotates within the key slot to slide the ramp pins along the helical ramps, causing the tool stem's distal tip to press against the second component body and thereby separate the two component bodies.

  • Patent number: 12279650
Abstract: An electronic device includes a hand held base assembly that includes circuitry including memory and firmware executed by a processor or microcontroller of the circuitry; and a cartridge assembly that includes memory that is read by the firmware of the handheld base assembly. The cartridge assembly and the handheld base assembly are configured to removably couple together to define the electronic device for producing an aerosol for inhalation by a person. An enclosed air passageway is defined by the cartridge assembly and by the handheld base assembly, which isolates the airflow from the electronics of the device. The enclosed air passageway extends between the opening of the mouthpiece for taking a breath and a diaphragm of the handheld base assembly, movement of the diaphragm changing the air pressure within an enclosed interior space having a pressure sensor for trigging the pressure sensor when a breath is taken.

  • Patent number: 12284481
Abstract: A mobile device includes one or more piezoelectric polymer layers underlying a display. The one or more piezoelectric polymer layers may be electrically driven to operate in either a d33 stretching mode or a d31 bending mode. The mobile device functions as an ultrasonic sensor in the d33 stretching mode and as an audio speaker/microphone or a proximity sensor in the d31 bending mode. The piezoelectric polymer layer operating in the d31 bending mode may be directly mechanically coupled to a display, indirectly mechanically coupled to the display and underlying an ultrasonic sensor stack, or integrated in the ultrasonic sensor stack. Signal performance of the piezoelectric polymer layer operating in the d31 bending mode may be enhanced or modulated by having a larger area, multiple layers, bi-pole or uni-pole driving with multiple layers, one or more stiff adhesives, a spacer layer, one or more mass features, a thin TFT layer, a thick piezoelectric polymer layer, or combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 12284119
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for performing application-based tagging. An example method includes receiving, at a virtual socket, non-packetized data from an application and generating, by the virtual socket, a label based on the application. One or more data packets are generated by packetizing at least a portion of the non-packetized data. A header field of the one or more data packets includes a tag based on the label.

  • Patent number: 12284282
Abstract: Targeted messages are sent from a server to a client device through an app installed on the client device, but which operates without sending any personal data from the client device to any remote device. Bloom filters are created from data about the target audience and loaded in the app. User logins are resolved against the Bloom filter to targeted messages based on user identifiers. In this way, the processing to deliver a targeted message is performed on the client device, rather than on any remote device, and thus no personal information leaves the client device. Real-time view-through and click-through measurement is performed by firing conversion events to an integrated mobile network.

  • Patent number: 12282681
Abstract: Apparatus and method for managing data in a non-volatile memory (NVM) having an array of ferroelectric memory cells (FMEs). A data set received from an external client device is programmed to a group of the FMEs at a target location in the NVM using a selected profile. The selected profile provides different program characteristics, such as applied voltage magnitude and pulse duration, to achieve desired levels of power used during the program operation, endurance of the data set, and latency effects associated with a subsequent read operation to retrieve the data set. The profile may be selected from among a plurality of profiles for different operational conditions. The ferroelectric NVM may form a portion of a solid-state drive (SSD) storage device. Different types of FMEs may be utilized including ferroelectric tunneling junctions (FTJs), ferroelectric random access memory (FeRAM), and ferroelectric field effect transistors (FeFETs).

  • Patent number: 12281842
Abstract: A refrigeration cabinet assembly for a refrigeration appliance (1) comprises a cabinet (20) having five closed faces and an open front face providing access to an interior of the cabinet. A lateral stiffening arrangement (50, 51) is provided within the cabinet to resist bending or bowing of the side walls, particularly when the cabinet includes upper and lower compartments, the upper compartment having a door hinged to the cabinet. The lateral stiffening arrangement reduces door droop. A torsionally stiff structure may also be fixed to one of the five closed faces (23) or a structure (31) could be added to one of the five closed faces (23) so that together with that closed face a torsionally stiff structure results. The torsional stiffness of the assembly is thereby increased beyond that of the cabinet alone so that the insulated cabinet has an improved ability to resist twisting, further reducing door droop.
