Patent number: 12292652Abstract: Some implementations pertain to a transflective display device comprising a display surface, an optical path, and/or other components. The optical path may spatially modulate light emitted from a primary light source and direct it to the display surface, generating a display of visual information. The optical path may include a reflective spatial light modulator and a set of Light Emitting Diodes. The modulator may receive light from the primary light source and selectively reflect it toward the display surface. The Light Emitting Diodes may emit light directed to the backside of the modulator, including white light and light of a first color. Some implementations may include drivers to control the intensity of the light emitted by the Light Emitting Diodes, dictating the tone of the light transmitted through the modulator. Publication number: 20250139191Abstract: A method for generating in semiconductor hardware a dot product of two floating-point vectors. The method accesses the elements of the two vectors and performs a multiply in hardware. Before performing the multiply, the exponents of the elements can be checked to determine if the result would exceed the range of the fixed-point accumulator and the multiplication of the elements skipped if exceeded. The elements passing the optional check are multiplied. The resulting product is converted to a fixed-point number and summed with an accumulator. The dot product hardware can be part of an integrated semiconductor implementation of a neural network.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Yash Niki Mehta, Jacqueline Chuang, Suhail Ibrahim Alnahari, Ramteja Tadishetti, Steve Fu
