    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a metal oxide film formed on a glass substrate by a sol-gel method using a solution of at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate. Water which is in the amount ranging from 50 to 400 mol % of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate, an organic solvent and a catalyst are added to the solution, thereby to form a first sol. To afford water repellency to the oxide film, a fluoroalkylsilane in the amount more than 0.30 mol % of and less than 3.0 mol % of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate, or an alkylsilane compound in the amount more than 4.0 mol % of and less than 20 mol % of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate, is added to the first sol, thereby forming a second sol. The concentration of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate in the second sol is adjusted to fall within the range from 0.005 to 3.0 mol %. The second sol is applied to the glass substrate to form a gel film.

    Abstract: An elevator apparatus is provided with a hoisting unit including a drive sheave for winding a rope around it. The hoisting unit includes a rotary member. The rope has a car attached at one end thereof for suspending. A braking force is applied to the rotary member by a biasing unit. The braking force against the rotary member is released by a releasing unit, and is reduced by a reducing unit. In emergency stop of such an elevator apparatus, slipping of the rope is not caused to control the braking force with ease.

    Abstract: An information display apparatus which accumulates arbitrary information inputted to a television receiver from the outside, superimposes the information in a memory on an ordinary video signal and displays the superimposed image on a television display in accordance with a calender timer built in the television receiver. Memories are disposed in the information display apparatus and the remote control unit for accumulating arbitrary information. A calender timer is provided for serving as a reference for displaying information are also disclosed. Arbitrary information inputted from the outside can be displayed on a television display at a previously appointed date.

    Abstract: A bent axis type variable displacement hydraulic machine employing hydrostatic radial bearings for supporting hydraulic reaction forces exerted on the cylinder block. In a hydraulic machine of this sort, the number of pistons which are located in the high pressure are varies with the rotation of the cylinder block, and the resultant force of hydraulic reaction forces has an acting point at a position off the axis of the rotational shaft. Therefore, the hydrostatic radial bearings are located in such positions as to balance the moment loads which occur about the rotational shaft in relation with the acting point of the resultant force of radial hydraulic reaction forces on the drive disc of the rotational shaft. As a result, it becomes possible to lead to suppression of oil leaks from the sliding surfaces to a minimal rate and to prevent abnormal abrasive wear of each of the sliding surfaces.

Furthermore, it allows for excellent extrudability and provides the moldings with workability such as nailing and sawing.

The fluid control valve can be obtained simple in structure and high in precision, and be allowed a reduction in cavitation and noise.
