  • Publication number: 20040002689
Abstract: A pull-on disposable wearing article includes pants having a waist-hole and a pair of leg-holes, on one hand, and a liquid-absorbent pad placed on the inner side of the pants. On the other hand, the pants and the pad are coupled together by means of first and second coupler sheets extending between the pants and the pad. The pants and first and second coupler sheets are elastically stretchable in a longitudinal direction as well as in a transverse direction. A stretch stress of the pants is higher than those of the first and second coupler sheets and a stretch stress of the second coupler sheet is lower than that of the first coupler sheet.

  • Patent number: 6616646
Abstract: There is disclosed an absorbent article including: a surface structure having a liquid-permeable surface sheet located on a liquid-receiving side; a back sheet; and an absorbent core sandwiched between the surface structure and the back sheet. In an area including at least a centerline extending in a longitudinal direction of the absorbent article, the surface sheet is corrugated to form recesses and ridges extending in the longitudinal direction and alternating with each other in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The ridges are given an elastically shrinking function in the longitudinal direction at least at their crests or vicinities thereof so that the surface structure is formed into a curved shape. The surface structure thus curved can fit the shape of a crotch. Therefore, the liquid is hard to flow in the transverse direction to prevent the leakage.

  • Publication number: 20020151636
Abstract: The rubber composition of the present invention is used for producing an inner liner of a pneumatic tire, and is obtained by compounding a rubber component and a layered or plate-like mineral. The layered or plate-like mineral has an aspect ratio of 3 or more and less than 30. The present invention further provides a production method of the rubber composition and a pneumatic tire which is produced by using the rubber composition. The present invention is applicable to a tire of passenger vehicles, bus or truck, and a tire of airplane. According to the present invention, the air permeation resistance is remarkably improved and the workability is also improved. Therefore, the rapture and hole defect of a non-vulcanized sheet during the tire construction can be avoided. By using the rubber composition, the gauge of the inner liner of pneumatic tire can be reduced while maintaining the inner pressure of tire, thereby reducing the weight of tire.

  • Patent number: 6129718
Abstract: A urine-receiving pad for men including a bag of a laminated sheet which includes an inner sheet, an outer sheet and an absorbent core therebetween, and a pair of elastic members provided along the opening. By holding and pushing both ends of the elastic members with fingers, the elastic members are buckling-deformed to open the opening. When a penis is inserted into the opening and then the fingers are released, the penis is suitably pressed by elastic restoration forces of the elastic members, to prevent easy coming out of the penis therefrom. Since the pressing force resulting from the buckling-deformation of the elastic members is so small, too much pressure onto the penis is prevented. Further, the urine-receiving pad can be attached with only one hand.

  • Patent number: 6129717
Abstract: An absorbent article including an inner sheet and first and second outer sheets. The first outer sheet is of a fine interstice while the second outer sheet is fluid permeable. Through crepe processing, a great number of recesses are formed on an absorbent crepe sheet having wrinkles as the inner sheet. Highly absorbent polymers are charged in the recesses. Then, the first outer sheet adheres to the face on the opening side of the recesses of the inner sheet, while the second outer sheet adheres to the face of the opposite side of the inner sheet. The second outer sheet is positioned toward the side of fluid absorption. When a fluid is applied on the absorbent article, the fluid passes through the second outer sheet onto the inner sheet and the highly absorbent polymers. Because the crepe wrinkles are elongated and extended when the inner sheet absorbs fluid, the recesses are enlarged.

  • Patent number: 5994614
Abstract: After overlaying an inner sheet of a coarse and bulky non-woven fabric on an outer sheet, super absorbent polymers (SAP) are dispersed on the inner sheet. Folding inwardly both the sides of the laminated body composed of the outer sheet and the inner sheet so as to face the inner sheet together to overlay both the ends together, the SAP are wrapped by means of the outer sheet and the inner sheet from the top and bottom thereof. Then, applying heat over the outer sheet, the outer sheet and the inner sheet are melted and bonded together while the inner sheet is melted and bonded together. Then, the bonding parts are formed in a given shape and SAP can be retained between the fibers of the inner sheet in a given area of the encircled region preliminarily encircled by the bonding parts.

  • Patent number: 5833679
Abstract: A sanitary napkin includes a liquid-permeable topsheet made of thermoplastic synthetic fibers and a liquid-absorbent core integrated with the topsheet at debossed spots. The debossed spots are formed as enlarged diameter upper depressions formed by compressing the topsheet and core together, and reduced diameter lower depressions formed by partially heating the bottom of the depression while under pressure, resulting in the heat-sealing of the topsheet and the core.

  • Patent number: 5746729
Abstract: A sanitary napkin includes a top layer having an upper layer made of a perforated thermoplastic synthetic resinous film and a lower layer made of thermoplastic synthetic fibers having a hydrophilic property higher than that of the upper layer. These upper and lower layers are intermittently heat sealed together except at a central zone of the napkin by thermally debossing the upper and lower layers so that the central zone may be thicker and softer than the remaining zone.

  • Patent number: 5542301
Abstract: Reduced eddy current flowmeters and the methods of fabrication are disclosed. A pedestal is fixed inside an outer casing of the flowmeter and a core is fixed on the pedestal. In one embodiment, the outer casing to which the core is fixed is rotated by a power roller and slits are cut into the core by a laser beam apparatus. The cutting of such slits reduces the eddy current in such flowmeters. Depending on the movement of the laser apparatus with respect to the rotation of the outer casing, a spiral slit or a circular slit may be formed. Other patterns of slits may also be cut. A lathe may be used in place of the laser apparatus. The flowmeter includes an exciting coil, a measuring pipe and other necessary elements which are fixed to the outer casing after the slits are cut in the core.
