  • Publication number: 20180205783
Abstract: Measurement exchange networks and protocols to exchange measurements of a parameter amongst devices (e.g., IoT devices), select the best measurement(s), accuracy/precision-wise, and determine a process variable for a control system based on the selected best measurement(s). A device may select a peer-provided best measurement to output as the process variable in place of a local measurement, and/or compute the process variable from multiple best measurements (e.g., local and/or peer-provided measurements). Metadata may be used to select a measurement(s) and/or to increase reliability/trust of exchanged data. In this way, each device of an exchange group/network may obtain the highest measurement accuracy of all available collocated sensors with little or no additional processing or cloud connectivity.

  • Patent number: 10025294
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate generally to simulating apparel items. A matching computer system may receive a request for an apparel item. The matching computer system may identify a 3D pattern corresponding to the apparel item. The matching computer system may provide this 3D pattern to a user agent computer system. The user agent computer system may cause a 3D printer to print a 3D artifact or modify an existing 3D artifact to simulate the requested apparel item. The modification of 3D artifact may be based on the data collected by the sensor(s) attached to the user which indicate the fitting and/or user feelings of the 3D apparel. The user agent computer system may print or modify the 3D artifact to include components that simulate characteristics of the requested apparel item. The 3D artifact may provide feedback to the user agent computer system based on sensing measurements. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Patent number: 10021137
Abstract: In an example, a system and method for real-time mobile security posture updates is provided. A mobile device management (MDM) agent may run on the mobile device, and may register with the operating system one or more mobile security posture change events that may affect the mobile security posture. These may include, for example, installation of an MDM agent, uninstallation of a program, connecting to a secured or unsecured network, or similar. When any such event occurs, the OS lodges the event with the MDM agent, which then communicates with an MDM server engine to potentially receive new security instructions. Lodging the event may include providing a joint user-and-device authentication to the MDM server, such as via SAML.

  • Patent number: 9998488
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a protection system including machine learning snapshot evaluation. A device may comprise a machine learning engine (MLE) to generate snapshots of device operation. The MLE may use active or planned operations in the snapshot to learn user behavior. Once normal user behavior is established for the device, the MLE may be able to determine when snapshots include unusual behavior that may signify a threat to the device. Snapshots determined to include unusual behavior may be transmitted to a remote resource for evaluation. The remote resource may include at least a user behavior classification engine (UBCE) to classify the user behavior by characterizing it as at least one type of use. The snapshot may be analyzed by the UBCE to determine if potential threats exist in the device, and the threat analysis may be provided to the device for evaluation and/or corrective action.
