Abstract: A method of transmitting color gamut information and an image device using the same are provided. The image device includes a color gamut information generating unit which generates color gamut information; an ancillary data generating unit which generates ancillary data including the color gamut information; and a composition unit which combines the ancillary data and image data. Since the image device reproduces an image based on the color gamut information, the quality deterioration of the image may be prevented.

Abstract: An image interpolation device and method of preventing aliasing. The image interpolation device to prevent aliasing includes an aliased-region detection part to detect a region where aliasing occurs based on the magnitudes and signs of high-frequency components RH, GH, and BH at pixels of n2-times-density R, G, and B images, and an anti-aliasing-processing part to perform an anti-aliasing operation on the detected aliased-region and to restore a captured image of an object from the n2-times-density RGB image having the detected aliased-region. The device can restore an image signal identical to an object image signal from a distorted signal that results from the aliasing. Therefore, the device can enhance the high-frequency components of an image without overshoots and undershoots, can reduce color errors, and can enhance color contrast.

Abstract: A color signal processing apparatus calculates a target color gamut including color signal values of each pixel of an input video, and calculates target primary colors corresponding to the calculated target color gamut. The color signal processing apparatus produces the calculated target primary colors by mixing primary colors in an input color gamut of the input video, and converts and outputs the color signal values of each pixel of the input video to match the calculated target color gamut defined by the calculated target primary colors.

Abstract: A digital image processing apparatus and a method thereof. The apparatus includes a CCD to photoelectrically transform an optical image which is imaged through a lens part, using a mosaic color filter array pattern, a buffer to store a color data output from the CCD by a pixel, in a predetermined unit, and an ADSE logic to color-interpolate a spatially missing color data by adaptively applying a luminance significance element value to a certain color interpolation method, the luminance significance element value indicating contribution of each color to an entire luminance with respect to each pixel color data stored in the buffer.
