  • Publication number: 20240033939
Abstract: A device for use with soft robotic devices comprises soft fluidic actuators, a microfluidic/minifluidic valves and channels module, a fluidic module, sensors, and a control module. The actuators are operable to apply predetermined effects to surfaces and/or objects. The microfluidic/minifluidic valves and channels module has micro/mini fluidic channels and on-chip fluidic pressure-controlled pinch valves forming a fluidic network. Each pinch valve has a valve pinch chamber, a membrane layer, and a valve control pressure chamber. The control module receives signals from the sensors and controls the fluidic module to control the pinch valves to induce flow of fluid under pressure to the actuators. An active compression apparel may include the device, and may have a skin contact backing layer and a strain-limiting backing layer sandwiching the actuators which are operable to provide compression to the skin and/or limb of a user through the at least one backing layer.

  • Patent number: 11886235
Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a shield that provides thermal and electromagnetic interference (“EMI”) shielding benefits. The shield is secured with fan assemblies by airtight seals to prevent air leakage and promote a pressured volume when the fan assemblies are running. Further, the shield can direct airflow from the fan assemblies to one or more thermally conductive components, where the airflow can convectively cool the thermally conductive components and exit the electronic device. The shield is made from a metal, and when the shield covers a circuit board, the shield protects an EMI barrier for integrated circuits located on the circuit board. Moreover, the shield can provide a single-piece, monolithic body that provides advantages over multiple shields, such as eliminating gaps in the shield for air leakage and EMI intrusion, increasing air circulation efficiency, and decreasing costs.

  • Patent number: 11867832
Abstract: A miniature radar target simulator (MRTS) and a system comprising a plurality of MRTS's are described. The MRTS and system are useful for emulating echo signals for a radar DUT with reduced interference. Illustrative radar test systems desirably generate the intended (emulated) radar targets and reduce unwanted (“ghost”) signals, which can result in “ghost targets,” and errant/ambient electromagnetic radiation that reduces the performance and reliability of known re-illuminators and systems including same.

  • Publication number: 20230385529
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for enhancing text-based electronic communications. In one embodiment, a sending agent automatically, or upon request by a user, disambiguates identifiers and terms included in a communication internally or in collaboration with a remote device or server based on the identity and history of the sending or intended receiving device or user, the content or context of the communication and/or the sending or intended receiving device or user and automatically or at the request of the sender, appends, enhances or provides certain additional information related to the identifier or terms to the message in real time. This additional information is then included or referenced, but not necessarily initially displayed or communicated, in the communication. The integrated system also may include a receiving agent on the receiving device that can disambiguate the identifier or terms and provide additional information and services related to the identifier or terms in the communication.

  • Publication number: 20230376293
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates deploying an application. Some techniques described herein occur during compile time while executable code is being generated from source code. In one example, the executable code causes different operations in an application to be assigned to different compute systems such that particular operations are required to be executed on particular compute systems. The executable code may further include bridges that assist data being transmitted between different compute systems, the bridges generated during compile time. In another example, the executable code causes data to be sent to a recording service during execution of an application. The recording service, though not included in the source code before compile time, is configured to receive copies of data transmitted on a compute system including the recording service. The recording service may also be configured to receive metadata corresponding to operations executed on the compute system.
