The methods can include treating select portions of a tissue matrix with a fluid containing at least one agent to produce a tissue matrix with variable mechanical and/or biological properties.

Abstract: A magnetic fastener such as for an article of footwear comprises a male fastener portion and a female fastener portion. The male fastener portion is configured to magnetically fasten to the female fastener portion. The female fastener portion defines a recess with an outer periphery that is asymmetric about a center axis of the recess. The male fastener portion fits into the recess when the male fastener portion is in a first orientation relative to the female fastener portion, and interferes with the female fastener portion when the male fastener portion is urged to rotate about the center axis of the recess away from the first orientation.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products for creating 3D representations of bodies are disclosed. The systems, methods and computer program products include the construction of FE meshes representing complex geometries. The complex geometries may be artificially or naturally formed or designed geometries. The techniques reduce the number of elements as much as possible to save on computer run time while maintaining computational accuracy.

Abstract: A plant detection system includes a radiation module and a photodetector system. The photodetector system includes a photodetector housing, one or more photodetectors, a detector lens, and an aperture plate. The aperture plate is disposed within the photodetector housing between the detector lens and the one or more photodetectors and has an aperture extending therethrough. The detector lens and the aperture plate are configured so that stray radiation received by the detector lens is directed through the aperture in the aperture plate or onto a surface of the aperture plate without being directed onto sidewalls of the photodetector housing.

Abstract: A dry reagent composition that includes an active redox enzyme that oxidizes an analyte as a specific substrate to produce an inactive reduced form of the enzyme; and a salt of ferricyanide provides improved performance in electrochemical test strips such as those used for detection of glucose. The salt of ferricyanide consists of ferricyanide and positively-charged counter ions, and the positively charged counter ions are selected such that the salt of ferricyanide is soluble in water, and such that the salt of ferricyanide or the crystalline phase of the salt of ferricyanide has a solubility in water and/or a lower E0eff at a concentration of 100 mM than potassium ferricyanide. For example, the salt of ferricyanide may be tetramethylammonium ferricyanide.

During operation, the system obtains a business-logic stack that includes one or more sets of business rules corresponding to one or more tax codes associated with a specified globalization setting for the application. For each user-interface component from a set of user-interface components in the application, the system: dynamically obtains content for the user-interface component from a content-repository based on an order of the one or more sets of business rules in the business-logic stack, wherein the content-repository is a store of tax-code-specific content for the user-interface components associated with the application; and includes, via the localization mechanism associated with the platform of the electronic device, the content in the user-interface component during use of the application on the electronic device by the user.

Abstract: A controller for a sensor is configured to receive a control signal from an external device, the control signal corresponding to potential interference. The controller adjusts a sensing parameter using the control signal to avoid the potential interference. The potential interference is at least one of an electrical interference and an optical interference. The controller may include a sensor module that includes circuitry configured to acquire resulting signals with sensing elements using the adjusted sensing parameter.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for implementing a buffer cache for a persistent file system in non-volatile memory is provided. A set of data is maintained in one or more extents in non-volatile random-access memory (NVRAM) of a computing device. At least one buffer header is allocated in dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) of the computing device. In response to a read request by a first process executing on the computing device to access one or more first data blocks in a first extent of the one or more extents, the first process is granted direct read access of the first extent in NVRAM. A reference to the first extent in NVRAM is stored in a first buffer header. The first buffer header is associated with the first process. The first process uses the first buffer header to directly access the one or more first data blocks in NVRAM.

A door is coupled to the housing and configured to be moved between a closed position and an open position. A keg is received in the cavity and a carbonation cylinder is received in the cavity and connected to the keg. A spigot is supported on a dispensing tower extending from a top of the housing and connected to the keg. The dispensing tower is retractable into the cavity.

The charging station includes a charging port that is configured to electrically connect to an electric vehicle to provide power to charge that electric vehicle. The charging station also includes a power control unit coupled with the charging port, the power control unit configured to control an amount of power provided through the charging port. The charging station also includes a set of one or more charging station control modules that are configured to, in response to receipt of a message that indicates a request to limit an amount of power to an identified percentage and based on a history of power provided through the charging port over a period of time, cause the power control unit to limit the power provided through the charging port to the identified percentage.

The metadata includes entries indicating: a first identifier of a user of the plurality of users of the persona management system, a second identifier of an external data provider of a plurality of external data providers that possess data related to users of the persona management system, a third identifier of an algorithm that is used to transform data possessed by the external data provider related to the user of the persona management system into one or more transformed data values, and the one or more transformed data values. In response to requests from various data consumers, the persona management system uses the metadata to identify users matching specified search criteria.

Abstract: A retractable placard system for galley cart storage bays is provided. The placard system includes an outer plate and a placard. The outer plate is mounted with a hinge to a surface of a cart storage bay and is adapted to depend substantially vertically from the surface in a first position and to rotate in a first direction upon contact by a first edge of a half size cart. The placard is mounted to the outer plate. The placard is visible in the bay with the outer plate in the first position and retracted with the outer plate rotated in the first direction to a second position.
