  • Patent number: 11962452
Abstract: Adaptive guard interval calibration may be provided. A computing device may receive a first plurality of delay spread values. Each of the first plurality of delay spread values may respectively comprise an amount of time between when each of a respective first plurality Access Points (APs) receives a first tuning symbol from a first calibrating AP and when each of the respective first plurality APs receives a final multipath reflection of the first tuning symbol. Next, a first Guard Interval (GI) may be determined based on the first plurality of delay spread values. The first calibrating AP may then be provisioned with the first GI.

  • Patent number: 11956685
Abstract: System, methods, and computer-readable media for switching a dynamic radio of a single RU between Radio Access Technology (RAT) protocols based on a Software-Defined RAN intelligent controller (SD-RIC). The SD-RIC efficiently assigning RAN resources by converting a radio access point to either 5G or Wi-Fi based on the load conditions and the number of users seen on the network, so that it appropriately servers the customer and end devices. To determine the load conditions may be based on active users on a particular cell, and then the resource utilization cue is a connection latency. A single radio unit includes a primary radio and a secondary radio, each being independently tuned. The primary radio is static while a secondary one can be influenced based on the conditions, turning into N-RU or Wi-Fi.

  • Patent number: 11950218
Abstract: Presented herein are techniques to facilitate the configuration of hybrid cells to support shared cell and unique cell operating modes for user equipment. In one example, a method may include obtaining a registration request for a user equipment (UE) in which the mobile network includes a radio access network (RAN) comprising a plurality of radio units (RUs) in which each RU provides a shared cell that is shared with at least one other RU and each RU also provides a unique cell that is not shared with any other RU. The method may further include determining an operating mode for the UE in which the operating mode indicates whether the UE is to operate in a shared cell or a unique cell operating mode, and facilitating connection of the UE to one of the shared cell or the unique cell of an RU based on the operating mode.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for improving resource management in Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) networks include a Spectrum Access System (SAS) in coordination with one or more CBRS devices (CBSDs) and a Digital Network Architecture center (DNA-C). Resource allocation decisions can be based on one or more policies such as a priority, a preemption capability index and/or a preemption vulnerability index associated with the CBSDs. Resource allocation can also be based on inter-access point (AP) coordination between two or more CBSDs and comparative performance indicators of the two or more CBSDs. Managing interference between two or more groups of CBSDs can be based on the inter-AP coordination and group identifiers associated with the two or more groups. Bandwidth allocation can be modified to the two or more CBSDs and seamless transition can be implemented using timers.

  • Publication number: 20230370857
Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to a process of dynamically assigning operational parameters for access points within a CBRS (Citizen Broadband Radio Service) network. In particular, the disclosed technology monitors for and detects interference between nearby access points and user equipment devices that may belong to the same enterprise or to different enterprises. Machine learning processes are used to revise the operational parameters that were initially assigned by the Spectrum Access System (SAS). These processes are also used to suggest an updated set of operational parameters to the SAS for the access points. The dynamic assignment reduces interference experienced by the access point with respect to nearby other access points and/or nearby other user equipment. The dynamic assignment aims to improve a quality of communication between the access point and its associated user equipment.
