    Abstract: When a mover during moving is displaced in a direction (X2 direction) perpendicular to a moving direction, between a deformation pattern portion formed in stator-side electrodes of a stator and a deformation pattern portion formed in mover-side electrodes of the mover, a restoring force trying to return the mover toward a direction (X1 direction) opposite to the X2 direction acts on the mover. This makes it possible to prevent the mover from displacement, and consequently to provide an electrostatic actuator improved in the linear movability toward the moving direction.

The display driver extracts the first flag from the serial data in accordance with a timing of a serial clock, and performs display in accordance with the image data, while generating the voltage of the common electrode which voltage has the polarity specified by the first flag extracted. This realizes a display device capable of generating a timing signal for AC common voltage, while having a small circuit.

    Abstract: A method is provided for producing a Si bulk polycrystal ingot with high quality and high homogeneity, which has no significant crystal defects and is free from diffused impurities with a high yield. An upper face of a Si melt is locally cooled by bringing coolant close to a surface of the Si melt from an upper part of a crucible in the crucible containing the Si melt or by inserting the coolant into the Si melt. A dendrite crystal is formed in the vicinity of the surface of the Si melt. Cooling is performed thereafter while maintaining a proper temperature distribution, and a Si bulk crystal is grown from an upper part toward a lower part using a lower face of the dendrite crystal as a fresh growth face.

    Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a NAND circuit, an inverter, a plurality of transistors serve as stopping devices for stopping operation of a circuit in a manner responsive to a level of an initializing signal that is fed. If the initializing signal that is Low-level is fed into the NAND circuit, then a plurality of transistors all become OFF. This makes it possible to reduce steady current flowing across a voltage and a start signal. Steady current flowing across the voltage and a start inverted signal is also reduced. The image includes a contamination component attributed to gamma scattering in the radiation detector. An image correction operation unit performs a convolution operation to obtain a contamination image. The contamination image is subtracted by a corrected image creation unit. Thus, it is possible to prevent image degradation by the gamma ray scattering in the radiation detector.
