  • Patent number: 5164256
Abstract: A porous slide bearing (1) made of a porous sintered compact (5) is impregnated with an oil or a lubricant (6) containing a thickening agent at a concentration of less than 3 percent by weight and in the outer surface area thereof with a lubricant (7) containing a thickening agent at a concentration of 3 percent by weight or more. Such a bearing can prevent leakage of lubricant owing to fluctuations in temperature.A method for producing a porous slide bearing includes the steps of homogenizing a lubricant to make the crystals contained therein into fine particles and to disperse them uniformly, and impregnating under vacuum said lubricant into pores in a porous slide bearing. The silicon carbide layer is to be a wide energy band gap emitter layer of the semiconductor device. The protection layer is formed on the silicon dioxide layer, and the silicon carbide layer is formed in an active region formed on the silicon substrate in an aperture provided by etching the protection layer and the silicon dioxide layer. The protection layer is made of material which is non-reactive with the reactant gas consisting of, for example, trichlorosilane and methane. The protection layer is, for example, titanium nitride formed by a sputtering method, or nitrided silicon oxide formed by heating the silicon dioxide layer.

  • Patent number: 5162750
Abstract: A band limiter connected between output lines of a differential amplifier. The band limiter includes a bipolar transistor connected to the output lines via capacitors, and includes a temperature detecting device for detecting ambient temperature. Transistor capacitance is connected to or disconnected from the output lines in response to a bandwidth limiting signal. The transistor constitutes a low-pass filter functioning as a band limiter when it is closed, whereas it functions as a variable capacitor which varies its capacitance in accordance with the ambient temperature when it is opened. The high-band frequency characteristic of the differential amplifier is temperature compensated by the transistor functioning as a variable capacitance.

  • Patent number: 5161135
Abstract: A record carrier for recording, reproducing and erasing information. A circular disc-like substrate has a recording layer thereon such that information is written onto the recording layer by changing the direction of magnetization. A guide groove of a plurality of tracks is formed in advance and extends in the radial direction with intervals therebetween. Each track of the guide groove is divided into a plurality of sectors, each of which includes a header portion in which a header signal containing an address for distinguishing at least said sector is formed in advance with pits of a phase structure and a data portion adjacent to said header portion. The guide groove serves as an optical guide for a light beam which records, reproduces and erases information onto the data portion.

  • Patent number: 5160115
Abstract: The apparatus for controlling a damper in an air conditioning system for a vehicle. The damper is used for selectively opening air outlets, and is constructed as a film damper having one end wound on a drive shaft rotatably supported in a casing. The drive shaft is formed as a hollow shaft having an axial bore therein, in which an electric motor with a reduction gear is arranged. The outer body of the motor is fixedly inserted to the shaft, and has an output shaft fixedly connected to the casing, so that a rotation of the motor causes a relative rotation between the motor body connected to the hollow shaft and the outlet shaft connected to the casing. As a result of the rotation of the motor body, the drive shaft is rotated, resulting in a desired movement of the film damper.
