  • Publication number: 20220059927
Abstract: A wireless handheld or portable device includes an antenna system operable in a first frequency region and a higher, second frequency region. The antenna system comprises an antenna structure, a matching and tuning system, and an external input/output (I/O) port. The antenna structure comprises at least one radiating element including a connection point, a ground plane layer including at least one connection point, and at least one internal I/O port. At least one radiating element of the antenna structure protrudes beyond the ground plane layer. The antenna structure features at any of its internal I/O ports when disconnected from the matching and tuning system an input return loss curve having a minimum at a frequency outside the first frequency region of the antenna system. • Publication number: 20220058188
Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices for a radar recognition-aided search. Through use of a radar-based recognition system, gestures made by, and physiological information about, persons can be determined. In the case of physiological information, the techniques can use this information to refine a search. For example, if a person requests a search for a coffee shop, the techniques may refine the search to coffee shops in the direction that the person is walking. In the case of a gesture, the techniques may refine or base a search solely on the gesture. Thus, a search for information about a store, car, or tree can be made responsive to a gesture pointing at the store, car, or tree with or without explicit entry of a search query.

  • Patent number: 11254306
Abstract: Described herein are examples of a system that processes information describing movement of a vehicle at a time related to a potential collision to reliably determine whether a collision occurred and/or one or more characteristics of the collision. In response to obtaining information regarding a potential collision, data describing movement of the vehicle before and/or after a time associated with the potential collision is analyzed to determine whether the collision occurred and/or to determine one or more collision characteristic(s). The analysis may be carried out at least in part using a trained classifier that classifies the vehicle movement data into one or more classes, where at least some the classes are associated with whether a collision occurred and/or one or more characteristics of a collision. If a collision is determined to be likely, one or more actions may be triggered based on the characteristic(s) of the collision.

  • Patent number: 11256335
Abstract: This document describes techniques for fine-motion virtual-reality or augmented-reality control using radar. These techniques enable small motions and displacements to be tracked, even in the millimeter or sub-millimeter scale, for user control actions even when those actions are small, fast, or obscured due to darkness or varying light. Further, these techniques enable fine resolution and real-time control, unlike conventional RF-tracking or optical-tracking techniques.

  • Patent number: 11257325
Abstract: Table-based gaming actions are disclosed where additional prizes or other gains can be awarded after spinning of a first reward determining wheel of chance by spinning of one or more further wheels of chance where the further spinnings are enabled by a previous spin outcome landing on an outcome selecting segment that awards a partial reward and also awards the spinning of the next successive wheel of chance. Each of the successive wheels of chance is different from the others such that a variety of reward possibilities is provided. For one embodiment, a bonus awarding segment of the first wheel has a highest probability of occurrence and a lowest initial payout value.

  • Patent number: 11258809
Abstract: Systems and methods for targeted attack detection. A protection system intercepts traffic destined for a protected system and only traffic identified as non-malicious is allowed to pass thereto. Data collection agents (DCAs) instantiated at protected systems report information concerning protected system resources to the protection system, which creates from that information a set of threat attack detection metrics (TADMs) by which it evaluates payloads of the intercepted traffic. In particular, the intercepted traffic is assessed using conventional threat detection approaches to identify suspect payloads. The suspect payloads are additionally evaluated against the TADMs to determine if they contain any references to specific resources of the protected system. For those of the suspect payloads for which the TADM evaluation reveals positive results, the protection system provides an alert that a targeted attack has been recognized.
