Patent number: 12222316Abstract: An atomic level deposition for mass functionalization of a cavity filled with a pathogen sensitive antibody reagent to functionalize each biosensor using atomic level vapor phase deposition enables high volume production of this sensor technology. A biosensor has a first substrate and a second substrate with a cavity formed in the first substrate to form a membrane. Holes are formed through the second substrate. An aluminum oxide layer is formed over the cavity and into the holes to form cores. The cavity is filled with a pathogen sensitive antibody reagent. A biofluid sample with the pathogen is deposited over the membrane. The biofluid is drawn through the cores to mix with the antibody reagent. The antibodies combine with the pathogen to change the impedance along the current path. The presence of the pathogen changes the ionic current flow through the biosensor for a positive detection of the pathogen.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2021Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: IceMos Technology LimitedInventors: Samuel J. Patent number: 12222738Abstract: An electric drive system includes a power electronics module (PEM) having a DC-link capacitor and an inverter. A controller reduces power output of the inverter while a sensed temperature of an inverter power switch, a sensed current of the PEM, such as a sensed ripple current of the DC-link capacitor, and parameter values of the DC-link capacitor are indicative of a predicted temperature of the capacitor being greater than a threshold to maintain capacitor temperature lower than the threshold. The parameter values are obtainable from a thermal model of the DC-link capacitor. The thermal model may be derived from testing a test version of the PEM under different drive cycles in which for each drive cycle a set of information is recorded including a sensed temperature of the inverter power switch test version, a current of the PEM test version, and a sensed temperature of the DC-link capacitor test version.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2022Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Monty J. Patent number: 12220209Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems to non-invasively determine intra-luminal placement and patency of a vascular access device. Patency and/or placement are estimated indirectly by measuring a physiological parameter which is indicative of proper patency and/or placement of the vascular access device in a patient. The measurement is compared to a reference value or calibration. If the comparison indicates indication of proper patency and/or placement, a signal is generated. The signal can be used in a number of ways. One example is to give a user-perceivable alarm or indication of proper patency and/or placement. Non-limiting examples include activating a light, an audible buzzer, a vibration, readable displayed text or graphics, or some combination of the same. The user can then have an indirect and at least semi-automatic way of estimating proper patency and/or placement of a vascular access device.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2022Date of Patent: February 11, 2025Assignee: Becton, Dickinson and CompanyInventors: Robert J. Publication number: 20250047925Abstract: Assets of broadcast network content are targeted to network users of interest based on location information regarding user equipment devices. Asset providers can specify location targeting criteria via a graphical user interface displaying mapping information. This location targeting criteria can then be compared to location information regarding user equipment devices so that assets are delivered to appropriate devices. The comparison of the location targeting criteria to the device location information can be performed at the user equipment devices or at another location. In the latter case, the assets can be addressed to appropriate user equipment devices or appropriate user equipment devices can be directed to select the asset, which is broadcast via the network. In this manner, assets can be targeted to individual network users on a basis independent of network topology.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2024Publication date: February 6, 2025Inventors: Patrick M. Sheehan, Bruce J. Anderson, Daniel C. Wilson
