  • Publication number: 20230388572
Abstract: An addressable asset system (100) includes user equipment devices (UEDs) (102), a cloud decisioning system (CDS) (106) and a business data management system (BDMS) (108). The BDMS (108) collects information that is used by the CDS (106) to manage delivery of assets by the UEDs (102). In an exemplary network architecture, the CDS (106) is independent of the network insertion and delivery equipment. In particular, the broadcast content stream is delivered to the UED (102) by a digital content management (DCM) system (110) and certain assets are separately delivered to the UED (102) by the asset download network (ADN) (112). This allows the CDS (106) to remain independent of the network of the UED (102) such that the CDS (106) can operate across networks.

  • Publication number: 20230384037
Abstract: A heat exchanger is characterized by having two or more fluid flow circuits, each formed by multiple small cross-section “micro-tubes” contained within a surrounding metal structure, or “metal matrix.” Its function is to efficiently transfer heat from one fluid to another in a highly compact assembly. Most any metal or metal alloy can be considered for the micro-tubes. The micro-tubes, while typically arranged in alternating layers of alternating flow circuits, may be organized in any number of arrangements including co-linear and at cross angles to provide for co-flow, counter flow and cross flow. The metal matrix, is provided in one embodiment by a metal or metal alloy powder consolidated in a hot isostatic pressing (HIP) process. This process also joins the tubes together and to the matrix itself, producing a monolithic structure.

  • Patent number: 11829334
Abstract: A method of controlling resynchronization of a source database and a target database may comprise detecting that a connection between the source database and the target database has been restored. Based on the detecting, the method may also comprise identifying a first edit flag for a first row in a first table on the source database. Based on the identifying, the method may also comprise sending the first row from the source database to the target database. Based on the sending, the method may also comprise clearing the first edit flag for the first row.

  • Patent number: 11817318
Abstract: A method for activating implanted dopants and repairing damage to dopant-implanted GaN to form n-type or p-type GaN. A GaN substrate is implanted with n- or p-type ions and is subjected to a high-temperature anneal to activate the implanted dopants and to produce planar n- or p-type doped areas within the GaN having an activated dopant concentration of about 1018-1022 cm?3. An initial annealing at a temperature at which the GaN is stable at a predetermined process temperature for a predetermined time can be conducted before the high-temperature anneal. A thermally stable cap can be applied to the GaN substrate to suppress nitrogen evolution from the GaN surface during the high-temperature annealing step. The high-temperature annealing can be conducted under N2 pressure to increase the stability of the GaN. The annealing can be conducted using laser annealing or rapid thermal annealing (RTA).

  • Patent number: 11811349
Abstract: An electric drive system includes a controller and an inverter having a switch and a current sensor. The controller reduces power output of the inverter while a sensed temperature of the switch, a sensed current from the inverter, and parameter values of the current sensor are indicative of a predicted temperature of the current sensor being greater than a threshold to maintain inverter temperature lower than the threshold. The parameter values are obtainable from a thermal model of the current sensor. The thermal model is derived from testing a test version of the inverter under different drive cycles in which for each drive cycle a set of information is recorded including a sensed temperature of a switch of the inverter test version, a sensed current output from the inverter test version, and a sensed temperature of a current sensor of the inverter test version.

  • Patent number: 11800061
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein generally provide for the compensation of asset providers and/or communications network providers for the non-consumption of assets provided with programming. In this regard, when users elect not to consume the assets associated with the programming, the asset provider loses the opportunity to present their assets to such non-consuming users and is thereby injured in relation to the price they have paid for the delivery of their assets. In one arrangement, a reporting module at a customer device is operative to identify when a user skips an asset and report that skip event to the network. This information may then be utilized to adjust the bill of the asset provider and/or to bill the user associated with the skip event.

  • Patent number: 11755474
Abstract: Tile based interleaving and de-interleaving of row-column interleaved data is described. In one example, the de-interleaving is divided into two memory transfer stages, the first from an on-chip memory to a DRAM and the second from the DRAM to an on-chip memory. Each stage operates on part of a row-column interleaved block of data and re-orders the data items, such that the output of the second stage comprises de-interleaved data. In the first stage, data items are read from the on-chip memory according to a non-linear sequence of memory read addresses and written to the DRAM. In the second stage, data items are read from the DRAM according to bursts of linear address sequences which make efficient use of the DRAM interface and written back to on-chip memory according to a non-linear sequence of memory write addresses.

  • Publication number: 20230283826
Abstract: Assets of broadcast network content are targeted to network users of interest based on location information regarding user equipment devices. Asset providers can specify location targeting criteria via a graphical user interface displaying mapping information. This location targeting criteria can then be compared to location information regarding user equipment devices so that assets are delivered to appropriate devices. The comparison of the location targeting criteria to the device location information can be performed at the user equipment devices or at another location. In the latter case, the assets can be addressed to appropriate user equipment devices or appropriate user equipment devices can be directed to select the asset, which is broadcast via the network. In this manner, assets can be targeted to individual network users on a basis independent of network topology.

  • Patent number: 11749576
Abstract: A stacked package configuration is described that includes a bottom package and an upper package. The bottom package includes a substrate having a top surface with first circuitry and metal first pads. A molded layer is then formed over the substrate. Holes through the molded layer are then laser drilled to expose the first pads. The holes and first pads align with leads of an upper package, which contains further circuit components. The holes are then partially filled with a solder paste. A thermal epoxy is applied between the molded layer and the upper package. The leads of the upper package are then inserted into the holes, and the solder paste is reflowed to electrically, thermally, and mechanically connect the upper package to the bottom package. The reflow heat also cures the epoxy. A ball grid array is then formed on the bottom of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20230271615
Abstract: Determining an instantaneous vehicle characteristic (e.g., at least one yaw rate) of an additional vehicle that is in addition to a vehicle being autonomously controlled, and adapting autonomous control of the vehicle based on the determined instantaneous vehicle characteristic of the additional vehicle. For example, autonomous steering, acceleration, and/or deceleration of the vehicle can be adapted based on a determined instantaneous vehicle characteristic of the additional vehicle. In many implementations, the instantaneous vehicle characteristics of the additional vehicle are determined based on data from a phase coherent Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) component of the vehicle, such as a phase coherent LIDAR monopulse component and/or a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) LIDAR component.
