Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are provided for determining the location of an emitter. A first subset of a plurality of parameters comprising a signal model associated with the emitter is selected. • Publication number: 20070073797
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are provided for determining the greatest common divisor (GCD) for a plurality of data points. A plurality of interim solutions are generated from an initial set of at least one data point from the plurality of data points. An iterative algorithm is then performed until the occurrence of a termination event. The iterative algorithm includes selecting a new data point from the plurality of data points. Each of the plurality of interim solutions are updated according to the selected data point as to provide a set of at least one updated interim solution from each interim solution. Each updated interim solution is evaluated to produce a fitness parameter. An updated interim solution when the fitness parameter does not achieve a desired threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070067482
Abstract: A system and method set provide a media exchange environment which facilitates motion picture, still photo and audio usage by allowing the editing and playing of streaming media presentations from potentially several remote libraries. A combined multimedia presentation is then streamed to a user. The system also supports media rights management, and represents what permissions the user must obtain in connection with a contemplated multimedia presentation.

  • Publication number: 20070007941
Abstract: Delay-locked loops, signal locking methods and devices and system incorporating delay-locked loops are described. A delay-locked loop includes a forward delay path, a feedback delay path, a phase detector and a timer circuit. The forward delay path alternatively couples to an external clock signal and to an internal test signal. The phase detector adjusts a delay line based upon the phase differences of a feedback signal and the external clock signal. The timer circuit switches the test signal into the forward delay path and measures the time of traversal of the test signal around the forward delay path and the feedback delay path and generates a time constant for configuring the phase detector's update period. The phase detector is thereafter able to stabilize at an improved rate.

  • Publication number: 20060261867
Abstract: A timing domain crossing apparatus and method of transferring signals between timing domains are disclosed. A receiver samples a data signal with a sample clock in a first timing domain. The sampled data signal is expanded to a plurality of expansion signals, which are held valid for a plurality of consecutive active clock cycles. A data order adjuster may re-order the plurality of expansion signals to a predetermined order. A timing generator samples a command signal with an internal clock in a second timing domain to generate a re-timing strobe. The re-timing strobe may be temporally positioned to be within the expansion data window and used to sample the plurality of expansion signals in the second timing domain. The timing domain crossing apparatus and method of signal sampling may be incorporated in a semiconductor device, which may be fabricated on a semiconductor wafer and included in an electronic system.

  • Publication number: 20060227701
Abstract: A system samples data of a digital pulse. The system includes a processor, an integrator, and a converter. The processor computes a discrete Fourier transform of frequency data of the digital pulse. The discrete Fourier transform includes a first output. The integrator integrates the first output to produce phase data. The phase data includes a second output. The converter applies an inverse discrete Fourier transform to the second output to produce a continuous signal that may be sampled at a predetermined time instant.

  • Publication number: 20060224648
Abstract: An apparatus for providing a base-2 logarithm approximation to a binary number is disclosed. A position k of the most significant bit within a binary number is located. Then, all bits that are less significant than position k within the binary number are assigned as a fractional portion of a base-2 logarithm approximation of the binary number. Next, a subset of the fractional portion is utilized to generate an adjustment value ?m for the fractional portion. The numeric value k is then converted to a binary value representing an integer portion of the base-2 logarithm approximation of the binary number. Finally, the integer portion is added to the fractional portion along with the adjustment value ?m for the fractional portion to form the base-2 logarithm approximation of the binary number.

  • Publication number: 20060222111
Abstract: A system generates a digital signal from input data of a digital pulse. The system includes a converter, a generator, and a comparator. The converter converts the digital pulse to an analytic signal. The converter produces a first output by application of an amplitude envelope and Euler's identity. The generator generates an analog signal from the first output. The generator produces a second output. The comparator compares the second output to the input data of the digital pulse.
