  • Patent number: 12132649
Abstract: A network interface controller (NIC) capable of efficient memory access is provided. The NIC can be equipped with an operation logic block, a signaling logic block, and a tracking logic block. The operation logic block can maintain an operation group associated with packets requesting an operation on a memory segment of a host device of the NIC. The signaling logic block can determine whether a packet associated with the operation group has arrived at or departed from the NIC. Furthermore, the tracking logic block can determine that a request for releasing the memory segment has been issued. The tracking logic block can then determine whether at least one packet associated with the operation group is under processing in the NIC. If no packet associated with the operation group is under processing in the NIC, tracking logic block can notify the host device that the memory segment can be released.

  • Publication number: 20240345857
Abstract: A first hypervisor running on a first processor cluster is provided. During operation, the first hypervisor can determine a first set of processing nodes and a first memory unit of the first processor cluster in response to the booting up of a first Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) of the first processor cluster. The first hypervisor can discover a second hypervisor running on a second processor cluster comprising a second set of processing nodes and a second memory unit. The first hypervisor can operate, with the second hypervisor, a distributed system comprising the first and second sets of processing nodes and the first and second memory units. The first hypervisor can then operate, with the second hypervisor, a global virtual machine on the distributed system. The virtual memory space of the global virtual machine can be mapped to respective memory spaces of the first and second processor clusters.

  • Publication number: 20240323114
Abstract: A data-driven intelligent networking system that can facilitate tracing of data flow packets is provided. The system add tracer packets to data flow packets arriving at an ingress point of the network. As the tracer packets progress through network in-band with the data flow packets, the system can copy, at each switch, trace data into pre-defined fields in the tracer packets. When the data flow packets arrive at an egress point of the network the system can separate the trace data from the data flow packet for analysis. Based on the analysis of the trace data, the system can adopt one or more policies to mitigate the impact of congestion on time-sensitive applications.

  • Publication number: 20240305054
Abstract: A robotic wire termination system for efficiently and accurately connecting a plurality of wires to an electrical connector having a plurality of connector pins with corresponding wire receptacles. The system generally includes a housing, a removable alignment plate, a robotic positioner, a heating device, a touch responsive display, and a control unit. The alignment plate removably holds a selected electrical connector in a specific position and orientation with the connector pins exposed in the housing and the wire receptacles exposed outside. The display provides a visual representation of the connector pins and selections of the connector pins. The control unit receives inputs indicating the pin selections and controls the robotic positioner to sequentially move the heating device along three orthogonal longitudinal axes to a series of heating positions relative to the selected connector pins to provide heat for melting solder to connect wires to the wire receptacles.

  • Publication number: 20240298160
Abstract: A communication system and method provide for automatic arrestee grouping and action recommendation during a mass incident arrest. A portable radio sends a notification to a server indicating a mass incident event with grouping request for grouping arrestees. The server returns an electronic form including a mass arrest ID based on type of mass event. The electronic form facilitates collecting individual arrestee information based on the type of mass event. Current offense type and personal attribute information are collected and further electronically tagged to each arrestee. The server automatically assigns each arrestee to an offense group based on current offense type, and then refines the offense group into sub-groups based on prior arrest records. The server generates arrest processing procedure recommendations customized for each sub-group and transmits the recommendations to the PS radio associated with the grouping request.

The magnetic latching connector generally includes male and female connector components. The male and female connector components comprise male and female couplings and male and female coupling housings. The male and female coupling housings enclose electrical connections between the male and female couplings and electrical cables. Recessed within the male and female couplings are electrically conductive pins and sockets and male and female magnetic latching elements. When the male and female connector components are coupled, the pins and sockets provide electrical connections and the recessed magnetic latching elements provide a predetermined magnetic attraction force to maintain the connections.
