Abstract: A filter apparatus and method utilize a filter element, defining a longitudinal axis and an axial end thereof, and having a central winding structure and a length of fluted filter material wound about the winding structure with the flutes of the media oriented to provide for filtration of fluid passing axially through the filter element. An edge of filter media defines the axial end of the filter element when the media is wound about the winding structure. An axial end of the winding structure is disposed adjacent the axial end of the filter element. A winding feature extends substantially axially outward from the axial end of the winding structure to a distal end of the winding feature. • Patent number: 9667042
Abstract: A wire support member for an environmental control system, the wire support member has a first bracket with inner and outer surfaces and a second bracket with inner and outer surfaces. A bracket connecter is disposed between and connects the first bracket and the second bracket. A ratio between the thickness of the first bracket and an offset between the first inner surface and the second inner surface optimizes the position of a wire harness and prevents the wire harness from contacting other surfaces within the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 9601908
Abstract: A wire support member for an environmental control system includes a bracket having an inner surface, an outer surface, and a thickness. A first arm projects from the bracket, a first flange projects from a first end of the first arm. The first flange includes a first harness support opening therethrough. A second arm also projects from the bracket parallel to the first arm, and a second flange projects from a second end of the second arm. The second flange has a second harness support opening therethrough. A ratio of a diameter of the first harness support opening and of the second harness support opening to the thickness of the bracket optimizes the routing and support for the wiring.

  • Patent number: 9545593
Abstract: A filter element including a winding core, a sheet of fluted filter media, a relief notch, and an adhesive. The winding core has a pair of ends spaced apart from each other and extending laterally between a pair of opposed sides. The sheet of fluted filter media is wound around the sides of the winding core. The relief notch is formed in one of the sides of the winding core. The adhesive is received at least partially in the relief notch and secures the fluted filter media to the winding core. • Patent number: 9511869
Abstract: A mixer has an internal bore with an inlet to a chamber, and an outlet at an opposed end/A duct is connected to receive a recirculated air flow. The duct communicates air into the chamber through recirculating air ports such that the recirculating air can mix with the air from the inlet. The mixer housing has a cockpit outlet for delivering air to a second outlet, with the cockpit output being located axially upstream from the recirculating air ports. An isolator is mounted at an outer periphery of the mixer housing, and has flat sides on each of two circumferentially spaced sides. A belly band is bolted to an outer periphery of the mixer housing and to flat sides of the isolator.
