Patent number: 11553469Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) determines PDCCH candidates. For a slot, the WTRU determines a number of valid PDCCH candidates associated with at least one search space based on a number of designated search spaces associated with the WTRU in the slot, a type of the search space, a priority associated with the search space, a number of required CCE channel estimates associated with the search space, a maximum number of PDCCH candidates in a slot, and a number of control resource sets (CORESETs) associated with the slot. The WTRU may then attempt to decode CCEs in the at least one search space to recover a PDCCH associated with the WTRU. The WTRU may drop PDCCH candidates from the search space when the number of PDCCH exceeds a maximum value.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2018Date of Patent: January 10, 2023Assignee: IDAC Holdings, Inc.Inventors: J. Publication number: 20230006872Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for reducing control signaling in uplink transmissions. A device, such as a wireless transmit/receive unit, may determine to use a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) transmission schedule out of a plurality of DM-RS transmission schedules. The DM-RS transmission schedule may be characterized by a DM-RS transmission being mapped to a single orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol per subframe of a data stream. The DM-RS transmission schedule may be characterized by a DM-RS transmission being mapped to a first subset of subcarriers of an OFDM symbol of a subframe of a data stream and Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission or Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) control information being mapped to a second set of subcarriers of the OFDM symbol. The first set of subcarriers may be different than the second set of subcarriers. The data stream may be transmitted according to the DM-RS transmission schedule.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2022Publication date: January 5, 2023Applicant: InterDigital Patent Holdings, Inc.Inventors: J. Patent number: 11540156Abstract: A method implemented by a Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) includes receiving a DeModulation Interference Measurement (DM-IM) resource, determining an interference measurement based on the DM-IM resource, and demodulating a received signal based on the interference measurement. An interference is suppressed based on the interference measurement. At least one DM-IM resource is located in a Physical Resource Block (PRB). The DM-IM resource is located in a PRB allocated for the WTRU. The DM-IM resource is a plurality of DM-IM resources which form a DM-IM pattern, and the DM-IM pattern is located on a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) and/or an enhanced Physical Downlink Shared Channel (E-PDSCH) of at least one Long Term Evolution (LTE) subframe. The DM-IM resources are different for different Physical Resource Blocks (PRB) in the LTE subframe. The DM-IM is located in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) Resource Block (RB), and the DM-IM pattern is adjusted.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2019Date of Patent: December 27, 2022Assignee: InterDigital Patent Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Paul Marinier, Moon-il Lee, J. Publication number: 20220394705Abstract: Embodiments contemplate wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmissions of different types of uplink channels and/or signals in a system deployment where multiple destination points may exist. Some embodiments contemplate that a WTRU may select the destination point of a transmission on a dynamic basis. In one or more systems where destination point selection from among multiple potential destination points may be possible for a WTRU transmission, some embodiments contemplate the determination of the handling of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmissions and for different power headroom reporting mechanisms. Embodiments also contemplate the reduction and/or inhibition of WTRU transmissions to destination points to which the WTRU may have lost connectivity.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Inventors: Paul Marinier, Ghyslain Pelletier, Diana Pani, J. Publication number: 20220386366Abstract: A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive a set of candidate resources, which may be used for transmission. The WTRU may periodically perform CCA on a channel (e.g., before transmitting on the channel). When the channel is determined to be free, the WTRU may determine a resource for transmission from the candidate resources. The resource may be determined based on the time remaining in the time period. For example, when the time remaining in the time period is shorter, the WTRU may determine to transmit on a resource that comprises more frequency resources. The WTRU may determine a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) scheme based on the number of frequency resources. The WTRU may send a transmission on the resource, which may include a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS). The DM-RS may indicate the resource used from transmission to a receiver of the transmission.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 11, 2022Publication date: December 1, 2022Applicant: IDAC Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Janet A. Patent number: 11516853Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may initiate a random access. The WTRU may determine whether to select a first random access channel (RACH) procedure or a second RACH procedure for the random access. The first RACH procedure may be a legacy RACH procedure. The second RACH procedure may be an enhanced RACH (eRACH) procedure. The WTRU may determine whether to select the first RACH procedure or the second RACH procedure based at least on a type of uplink data to be transmitted. When the second RACH procedure is selected, the WTRU may determine at least one physical random access channel (PRACH) resource associated with the second RACH procedure. The WTRU may determine a preamble sequence associated with the second RACH procedure. The WTRU may determine a data resource for the uplink data. The WTRU may send a RACH transmission that includes the preamble sequence and the uplink data.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2020Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: SONY CORPORATIONInventors: Martino Freda, Ghyslain Pelletier, Paul Marinier, Tao Deng, J. Publication number: 20220368574Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for Uplink operation in LTE unlicensed spectrum (LTE-U). A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive licensed assisted access (LAA) configuration information, e.g., for a first cell from a second cell. The first cell may be associated with operation in an unlicensed band, and the second cell may be associated with operation in a licensed band.
